The Student After EdTech
3. I am Gladys D. Tedor. Currently
living at Tunga, Moalboal, Cebu. I was
born on December 11, 1995. I’m 20
years of age.
Currently taking up Bachelor in
Elementary Education at Cebu
Technological University, Moalboal
Campus, Moalboal Cebu.
A 3rd year student
4. Educational Technology
A subject that will helps students to be aware of the uses of
technology in instruction.
It refers to the art or craft of responding to educational
needs.
One of the effective tools that we can use in imparting our
knowledge to our students.
According to David H. Jonassen “Educational Technology is
more than a hardware. Technology consists of the designs and
the environments that engage learners”.
6. The application of technology to any of those
processes involved in operating the institutions
which house the educational enterprise.
It refers to those aspects of
educational technology that are concerned
with instruction.
7. The channels or aveneus or instruments of
communication.
Examples are: Books, magazines, newspapers, radio,
television and internet.
Using “learning technologies to introduce,
reinforce, supplement and extend skills (William,
ed. 2000)
8.
9. The cone of experience is a pictorial device
use to explain the interrelationships of the
various types of audio-visual media, as well as
their individual “positions” in the learning
process.
The cone’s utility in selecting instructional
resources and activities is as practical today as
when Dale created it.
10. The cone is based on the relationships of various educational
experiences to reality (real life) and the bottom level of the cone
“direct purposeful experiences” represents reality or the closest
things to real, everyday life.
The opportunity for a learner to use a variety or several senses
(sight, smell, hearing, touching, movement) is considered in the
cone.
Direct experience allows us to use all senses.
Verbal symbols involve only hearing.
The more sensory channels possible in interacting with a
resource, the better the chance that many students can learn
from it.

Technology

Concerned with
“Integrating
Technology” into
Teaching and Learning.
Focused on introducing,
reinforcing,
supplementing and
extending the knowledge
and skills to learners.
Intends to help the target
learners to weave
technology in teaching.
Involve a deeper
understanding of the
computer as well as
hands on application
of computer skills.
13. It means full of understanding.
Meaningful Learning Opposed to
rote learning and refers to a learning
way where the new knowledge to
acquire is related with previous
knowledge (Ausubel 2000)
14. It is a technique of inquiry-based instruction
and is considered a constructivist based
approached to education.
Discovery Learning encourages students to
actively use their intuition, imagination and
creativity. It uses inductive reasoning by starting
with the specific and moving to the general.
15. In generative learning, we have active
learners who attend to learning events and
generate meaning from these experiences
and draw inferences thereby creating a
personal model or explanation to the new
experiences in the context of existing
knowledge.
16. The learner builds a personal
understanding through learning
activities and a good learning
environment.
17. I definitely learn a lot about educational
technology specially on how to do a
presentable power point presentation . It
also opens me to a new world which is the
modern world.
18. I also learn that in terms of integrating
technology into teaching and learning, we must
be aware of using the different computer
software especially Microsoft Office because this
software is the most used software in teaching.
Another thing is that technology makes the
teaching and learning process productive and
lively because of the graphics, text and videos
that the technology is offering.
19. In this portfolio, it shows that the
educational technology is a hands-on, project-
based course designed to help educators use
technology creatively and effectively in
support of curriculum in the elementary and
secondary school classrooms.
20. This portfolio deals with the facts about the use
of computer and how the people construct their
own understanding and knowledge of the world,
through experiencing things and reflecting on
those experiences.
Today’s generation, peoples interest were into
technologies, specially the 21st century learners.
So in order to come up with the new environment
and also to catch the attention of these learners,
future educators must engaged theirselves into
Educational Technology.
