2. Legal Tips When Going Through a
Divorce
• Keep an open line of communication with
your partner - Clear communication can
impede matters such as custody, home
division, and spousal support. This only
prolongs the divorce proceeding, making it
much more unpleasant for both parties.
3. Legal Tips When Going Through a
Divorce
• Be sure to disclose all home and properties Not doing so can harm your opportunities of a
settlement and bring about more legal
procedures
• Ask your attorney, partner, and spouse's
representation as numerous questions as
possible to avoid surprises.
4. Legal Tips When Going Through a
Divorce
• Do not complicate custody or visitation arrangements for
your children. Any issue may be seen by the court as
disrespectful towards the court's orders. This may, in turn,
detrimentally impact your case.
• Do not get married throughout your separation proceeding.
A third celebration will just complicate any existing legal
action.
• Do not sell any major properties during your divorce. Such
actions only complicate procedures and make it most likely
that your action will be seen per some ulterior motive.
