1.- What is the background?
A flipped classroom (sometimes referred to as an
inverted classroom). It's what happens in the classroom
that matters. True flipped learning turns classroom time
into a more individualized experience. Instead of an
instructor addressing all students as a group, learners
move at their own pace or in small groups to apply their
knowledge in hands-on ways; this allows for a more
differentiated experience overall.
Some of the benefits of a flipped classroom
are:
• It's flexible
• Students can learn at their own pace
• Students take responsibility for their learning.
• Students learn rather than encounter material in
class.
• There are more opportunities for higher-level
learning.
• It does not waste time transferring information to
students when that information is available to them
in books or online (Mazur 2009)
• Instructors work more closely with students,
getting to know students better and providing better
assistance
• Increased collaboration between students

• To make the classroom an active learning
environment so they can enjoy and put in the
practice.
• To enable students to learn at their own pace.
Student-centered learning, via the flipped
classroom model, is flexible and allows for
multiple solution strategies.
• When students complete the homework portion
of the flipped classroom, they are able to re-
watch the lesson to help them as they learn,
allowing them to work at their own pace.
• Helping students learn how to set and achieve
their personal, educational goals.
• Giving students enough room to fail and learn
from their missteps.
• Helping students develop their critical-thinking
and self-reflection skills.
• Giving students the space to act as their
advocates in the learning process.

6.- What areas of language, knowledge, skills are
emphasized?
These four pillars include: a flexible learning
environment, learning culture, intentional content and
professional educator.
Flexible Learning Environment: Providing fluid
timelines for student work and comprehension. Teachers
should adjust to the pace of their students in the class.
Learning Culture: A rich environment that allows
students to go further into topics and provides them with
opportunities for self-reflection and hands-on activities.
Intentional Content: Teachers decide ahead of time
what direct instruction to pair with in-class activities.
Students should feel challenged but able to understand
the material on their own.
Professional Educator: Teachers monitor students
during lessons and offer feedback to ensure no gaps in
student knowledge.
It helps to build higher-level skills. The flipped classroom approach
provides more opportunities for in-class active learning, it exercises
more forms of student engagement, including oral, visual, auditory,
sensory, practical, and intellectual problem-solving.
• Discussions are led by the students where outside content is
brought in and expanded.
• These discussions typically reach higher orders of critical
thinking.
• Collaborative work is fluid with students shifting between various
simultaneous discussions depending on their needs and interests.
• Content is given context as it relates to real-world scenarios.
• Students challenge one another during class on content.
• Student-led tutoring and collaborative learning forms
spontaneously.
• Students ask exploratory questions and have the freedom to go
beyond core curriculum.
• Students are transforming from passive listeners to active
learners.
7.- How is evaluation accomplished?
The basis of the flipped classroom method is the
importance of active learning in class. Problem
solving, small group discussions and short written
assignments are ways to verify their
comprenhension.
It is recommended to have students conduct self-
evaluations motivated by their goals for studying
and to apply peer evaluations to foster changes in
students’ attitudes toward learning.
Presentations, Videos, images and animations,
Mental and conceptual maps, Word clouds
,Infographics, Games Digital markers ,Social
networks.
