PROJECTS
Distributed FUSE (Nov 2014 -Dec 2014): Designed a distributed system using Scala and the AKKA Actor Model
that runs on multi-core machines. The server and client(s) are designed to share the work load. Server can work
even without the clients. The hash value for the randomly generated strings are calculated using the SHA-256 hash
function.
Distributed FUSE (December 2014): Extended fusepy (python based file system in user space) to distributed file
system, using xml rpc for rpc communication between client, server and master. Used MongoDB for data storage
on servers.
Twitter Simulation (Nov 2014-Dec 2014): Designed a distributed system that simulates twitter using Scala and
the AKKA Actor Model. Development of Restful services using spray.
Database Implementation (Feb 2015-Apr 2015): Implemented a single-user database management system
supporting subset of SQL queries, basic relational operations and some query optimizations in C++.
Code Compression (April 2015): Implemented dictionary based compression algorithm to reduce the binary size
of an embedded application in Java. Dictionary was built based on the frequency pattern algorithm.
Detecting Heap smashing (April 2015): Implemented a wrapper around the malloc to build metadata of a
memory allocation in the allocated memory block, used magic pattern to identify the start of the valid memory
allocation.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Ranked among the top 0.8% of the students appearing for All India Engineering Entrance Examination – 2006.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Served as a member of the Dance Club of IIIT-A(USHMA) from Jan'07 to Dec'07. Participated and organized many
dance events at college and school level and won several competitions.
