7. 1 He went into the synagogue again and
there was a man there who had a withered
hand. 2 Jesus was being watched to see
whether he would heal the man on the
Sabbath so they would have grounds to
accuse him of wrongdoing. Jesus said to
the man with the withered hand, “Get up
and come here.”
8. 4 He asked the others, “Is it lawful to do
good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save
life or destroy it?” But they were silent.
9. 5 And he looked at all of them in anger,
grieving at the hardness of their hearts.
He said to the man, “Stretch out your
hand.” And he stretched it out and his
hand was completely restored. 6 The
Pharisees went out and immediately
discussed with the Herodians how they
might kill him.
