6. CHALLENGING THE
CLASSIFICATIONS
There are three classes of Department of Buildings ECB
Violations:
 CLASS 1 (IMMEDIATELY HAZARDOUS)
Examples: installing a water line without a permit,
structural cracks in the façade, failure to provide
unobstructed exit passageway
 CLASS 2 (MAJOR VIOLATIONS)
