I help local governments improve their citizen engagement practices and process through the use of online tools. I coach business, non-profit, government and civic leaders on the art of leadership blogging and the use of other social media technologies. In my free time, I’m chief blogger and moderator for Locally Grown, a public affairs/community blog in my hometown of Northfield, MN. I’ve pretty much made my living online since 1986, primarily building online communities, both topic- and geographic-based.
