Assignment: Develop a tri-fold brochure (using Microsoft Word or Publisher) to
be used with student or parents. Choose one of the following topics and develop a
brochure. Make sure to make the content appropriate for the audience you choose.

Brochure 1) Create a brochure on copyright and what a teacher should do if they have questions.

Brochure 2) Create a brochure for students or parents explaining the importance of internet
safety.

   1. Decide which Brochure you would like to create
   2. Research on the web to find the content you want in your brochure/flyer. Remember to
      evaluate the websites for content validity. Please DO NOT copy and paste information.
      Cite your sources tool.
   3. Using Microsoft Word or Publisher, develop your brochure.
   4. Look at and follow these design tips –

This assignment will be graded using the following criteria

 1     Appropriate content in the brochure/flyer                            3

 2     All of the writing is done in complete sentences. Capitalization     2
       and punctuation are correct throughout the brochure.
 3     The graphics go well with the text and there is a good mix of text   3
       and graphics. (Pictures and various fonts used)
 4     The brochure has exceptionally attractive formatting and well-       2
       organized information.
 5     Participant correctly submitted the brochure as an attachment to     2
       our assignments page

 6     There are citations of sources accurately listed on the brochure     2

 7     Title and school details listed                                      2

 8     Tri-folded template used                                             2

 9     No extra white space found                                           2
