3. Have You Ever..... Driven in a woody area? Driven at night? Driven through an unfenced roadway? Been in a state with a population of deer? Known someone who has hit a deer Or done so yourself?
4. If you answered YES to any of these questions... You’ve been at RISK!!
5. For What? Serious Injury Fatality Living with yourself after causing injury to a deer
6. Deer often exist in close proximity to humans 37.8% of people treated for nonfatal MVCs(motor vehicle crashes) with large animals, 86.9% of which are deer, were 15-24 years of age. 54.4% of people injured hit the large animal directly, 44.8% swerved or slowed causing their vehicle to: hit a tree/pole/guardrail (21.4%) hit a car (6.3%) roll over (17.3%) go off the road (29.0%) other or unknown (26.1%) There are preventative measures although...
7. The injuries that occurred most often as of 2001-2002 in the US after an accident with a large animal: Do you want these injuries?
8. If you think it happens just in the US... In Britain 74,000 deer are estimated to be hit every year in DVCs (Deer Vehicle Crashes). It is the most common death of deer. Due to cars every year: 13% of the fallow deer population 7% of the roe deer population DIE Do you want to help these innocent creatures suffer?
9. Veterinary Treatment? Two things have been discovered There is no information really available through the internet And Many deer won’t even make it that far Why? People do not want to put the effort into saving the lives of deer because they are “over populated”. Although we put billions of dollars of resources towards saving human lives. There are over 6 billion of us! Human life is valued as a unique and amazing thing that should be cherished. Yet these deer die without so much as a side glance. Start thinking and stop killing.

12. Potential Program Funding An idea that I would propose would be to fine all the people who hit large animals. This law when enforced would provide the states with revenue for future funding of preventive programs to protect the wildlife surrounding roadways. There are over 247,000 crashes with large animals a year in the United States alone!
13. One thing we must do is give the deers their space. The reason they’re encroaching on our roads is the lack of home they have due to our landscaping. Definitely Though...
14. Our wildlife, deer included, have been here millions of years. We need to preserve their life out of respect for ourselves, our environment, our history, and our preservation. The Truth is...
15. Deer History “ In colonial times, extensive tracts of mature forest dominated the Northeast” “ Deer populations were small and scattered by the turn of the 20th century, primarily as a result of habitat loss....” Our population continues to expand building on top of the homelands of these woodland creatures. Aggressive expansion has caused the deaths of millions through out the ages and yet.... We let it continue
16. So, just how much forest is left? In North America the original forest cover is 10,877 thousands of square kilometers. It is now 3,737 thousands of square kilometers of frontier forest mostly located in the regions of Canada and Alaska.
19. Everything on this earth has a purpose, deer do not deserve to be slaughtered by 2 ton vehicles but deserve to be preserved and given a fair chance. Whether their life ends Man vs Deer or Deer vs Nature they deserve to live without suffering endlessly before death or die instantly while trying to find a home. Isn’t that what you would want?
