Should there be a greater English content in the
school paper: Univers, regarding the international
          status that the university is aiming for?

There are roughly 800 international students

    (7%).

    There are 350 exchange students.



    Univers is mostly in Dutch.

25% of bachelor students to be international.

    50% of master students to be international.

An online survey (Thesistools) has been used

    to gather the data.

    6 questions were asked.



    132 survey’s have been filled in.


Most people will read the Univers if it is

    written in English.
We had an interview with Ries

    Agterberg, chief editor of the Univers.

    The actual interview took about 15 minutes.

    But due to technical difficulties we could not
    show the whole interview.
Not enough money for Univers in two

    languages.
    Not enough authors who can provide quality

    English articles.
    Follow the university in internationalizing

    instead of the other way around.
University wants to be more international but

    is not willing to pay more money for an
    international school paper.
    Univers is waiting for the school to be more

    international, while the fact is that a school
    becomes increasingly more international
    when things like the school paper are
    available in English.
