The Animals Kingdom

There are many different types of animals in the
world . Animals can be classified based on having a
Backbone or Spinal Column.

backbone or:
spine

is a column usually consisting of
24 vertebra the , discs,,
separated by spinal discs .It
houses the spinal cord in its
spinal canal .It helps to
support the head and arms,
while permitting freedom of
movement .and protects the
spinal cord, which controls
most bodily functions
The Animal : Kingdom

 Vertebrates Animals :
Animals with a Backbone or Spinal Column

8. Invertebrates Animals:
Animals without a Backbone or Spinal Column
Reptiles
Amphibians Fish

             Vertebrates Animals Types

         Mammals Birds
Mammals :

Most mammals have hair .
The female mammals produce
milk to feed to their young.

Birds :

The feathers is covering the
whole body. They Have to fly.

Reptiles :

the scales cover their body.
 breathe through lungs. Their
 body temperature depends on
the external temperature.
Fish :
Most fish breathe through
gills . Most fish swim
using a tail fin

Amphibians:
Most amphibians can
both walk and swim in
water .They can live in
water and land.
Arachnids
                                         Insects
               (spiders)

                 Vertebrates Animals Types

                                                   Annelids
Echinoderms
                           Crustaceans (Worms)
• Insects :
Insects have an
exoskeleton that covers
their entire body. An
insect's body consists of
the head, thorax and
    .abdomen
• Arachnids (spiders) :
Common arachnids are the
spider, scorpions, ticks and
mites. the arachnids have a
hard exoskeleton and jointed
appendages for walking

• Annelids (Worms) :
Annelids have bodies that are
divided into segments. Some may
have long bristles .Others have
shorter bristles and seem smooth,
Crustaceans : Echinoderms :

                                  Echinoderms are marine
