Religion: Judaism Built by: Herod the Great in 19 CE Age: The wall dates back to the times of the Second Temple (516 BCE – 70 CE) Why is it a Place of Worship?: It is a place of confession, prayer and reading of the sacred Bible. It is often called the Wailing Wall and there, people become honest with themselves and to God. They confess every little sin, ease the burden on their souls and find peace. Nowadays many Jews come to this place from all over the world.

Location: Jerusalem, Israel Religion: Islam Built by: the Israelites and destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon Age: Stood for 410 years before being destroyed in 586 B.C Why is it a Place of Worship?: It is where Allah brought Mohammad into heaven- a historical place in the Islam religion. It is now remembered in all Muslims’ hearts as a great temple, a proof that Allah and Mohammad exist, and that the Islam religion is right.

All About the Roman Catholic Church Location: Vatican, Italy Religion: Roman Catholic, Christianity Built by: Jesus Christ Age: Was built at about AD 33 Why is it a Place of Worship?- Usually because the Pope (current- Benedict XVI), live there. Many say that the grandness of the church give the watchers a feeling of holiness.
