Active Directory Rights Management Services
Hyper-V
Servicios de Acceso y Directivas de Redes
Servicios de Archivo
Servicios de Certificate Server de Active Directory
Servicios de Directorio Ligero de Active Directory
Servicios de Dominio de Active Directory
Servicios de Federación de Active Directory
Servicios de Implementación de Windows (WDS)
29. Roles de Servidor

menor hardware
• Mantenimiento simplificado y recuperación contra
desastres
Beneficios de la Virtualización
45. • Requerimientos de Software:
– Windows Server 2008 edición Standard, Enterprise o
DataCenter
– Windows Server 2008 versión de 64 bits
– Edición Enterprise incluye licencia hasta 4 servidores
virtuales
– Edición DataCenter incluye licencia hasta un número
ilimitado de servidores virtuales
• Requerimientos de Hardware:
– Procesador x86 64-bits
– Virtualización asistida por hardware (AMD-V o Intel VT)
– Hardware habilitado con DEP

Slide Title: Pressure on IT Keywords: IT, challenges, pressure Key Message: The kinds of pressure IT infrastructures. Slide Builds: 1 Slide Script: We feel that there are positive pressures and there are negative pressures on the typical IT infrastructure. The positive, such as customer connection or end user productivity, usually result in more money and business productivity. The negative, such as cost reduction or regulatory compliance, represent the pressures that are generally more reactionary measures than proactive. Slide Title: Pressure on IT Keywords: IT, challenges, pressure Key Message: The kinds of pressure IT infrastructures. Slide Builds: 1 Slide Script: [BUILD1] Our research indicates that out of the $140 billion that is spent every year on IT budgets, 70% of those budgets is being spent on administrative costs for IT personnel, reacting to situations that arise, and simply keeping the IT infrastructure up and running, as opposed to proactively making improvements and automating processes. Slide Transition: Let’s look more closely at some of the specific challenges faced by IT and the costs associated with them. Slide Comment: Additional Information: www.microsoft.com
Slide Title: IT Challenges Keywords: IT, challenges Key Message: Specific costs associated with IT challenges. Slide Builds: 1 Slide Script: Of the 70% of that $140 billion spent every year on IT budgets, most of those dollars go towards staff costs. Downtime, training, software, and hardware expenses don’t account for nearly as much. Slide Transition: Slide Comment: Additional Information: www.microsoft.com
Slide Title: IT Challenges Keywords: IT, challenges Key Message: Specific costs associated with IT challenges. Slide Builds: 1 Slide Script: [BUILD1] We’ve found that IT staff are spending a lot of their time and resources on security management, network, performance, and so on—most of these tasks being performed manually rather than with automation tools or scripts. Slide Transition: One of the goals of Windows Server 2008 is to abstract the complexity of manual tasks and integrate that intelligence into the operating system. Slide Comment: Additional Information: www.microsoft.com
Slide Title: People Ready Keywords: goals, promises Key Message: A view of Microsoft's goals and promises. Slide Builds: 0 Slide Script: A people-ready business empowers its people—its most important asset—to drive the business forward. When individuals realize their potential, so does the company. Therefore, our aim is to make it easier for IT professionals to be successful in getting Windows Server 2008 and its associated features up and running. By shrinking the amount of manual tasks IT has to do, the IT budget can be used more effectively to enable new scenarios and drive new business value. Windows Server 2008 includes a lot of features that fall under our People Ready Business promises. Slide Transition: So having said that, let’s take a moment to discuss the key pillars to which Windows Server 2008 relates. Slide Title: Windows Server 2008 Keywords: 2008, security, reliability, performance Key Message: The underlying concepts driving the development of Windows Server 2008. Slide Builds: 2 Slide Script: [BUILD2] The other main function of the server is that of an application platform. We’ll talk about how Windows Server 2008 enables flexible solutions, connected systems, and offers a rich user experience. Slide Transition: Let’s move on and talk about how Windows Server 2008 enhances productivity. Slide Comment: Additional Information: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver/longhorn/default.mspx

Slide Title: Windows Server 2008 Setup Keywords: setup, ITC, server manager Key Message: A look at how the server install process has been improved. Slide Builds: 2 Slide Script: To install the operating system, all you really need to do is enter some basic information, such as the product key and disk information; the rest of the installation requires no user intervention. Slide Title: Windows Server 2008 Setup Keywords: setup, ITC, server manager Key Message: A look at how the server install process has been improved. Slide Builds: 2 Slide Script: [BUILD2] And then comes Server Manager, which is a central management console for all server configuration. This is the dynamic systems initiative being realized. We've used the systems definition model and all of the potential roles that could be on a server, and mapped out the dependencies, the constraints, and what it means for that role to be healthy; and we've put them all into one common interface called Server Manager. Server Manager provides a single source for managing a server's identity and system information, displaying server status and health, identifying problems with server role configuration, and managing all roles installed on the server. Slide Transition: We’ll look at Server Manager in detail in the next demonstration. Slide Comment: Additional Information: Windows Server Code Name “Longhorn” Beta 2 Reviewer’s Guide
