1. Direct Linking Lives On:
F**K the Hype, It's Possible
By Coty Schwabe
This report was written to instruct those who don’t know what “direct linking is”
or that complain that is no longer possible. It is very possible, it will just cost you a
few dollars to do (but in the end, it’ll be even better for you…)
Direct Linking’s Beginnings
Direct Linking is the act of placing an affiliate link for any product or service
straight into Adwords, so that the ad leads directly to that page, with your affiliate
id embedded in the page, so you get your commissions.
Many people would send Adwords traffic to a sub‐site, where they would explain
about the product or service, then lead you to the affiliate page or product. This
was pain staking, because it meant a lot of extra for the affiliate.
Enter Google Cash. Chris Carpenter’s cornerstone of the Google Cash method
revolved around a new technique called “direct‐linking” (there are some other
names for it, but that’s the true name for it).
People went crazy. They rejoiced. Such a simple yet effective way to make money
with adwords. Advertisers capitalized on this new trend. That is until…
The Google slap of 2006. Google put its foot down against this technique as well
as against a few other types of landing pages. Competition scattered, and many
thought that money with adwords was lost.
2. Enter Adwords Miracle and Affiliate Project X. Two definitive guides that covered
Adwords like others had not seen. Direct linking was brought back to life…
Somewhat. While they touched on the subject, they didn’t specifically state the
easiest way to get around this. All was lost again.
But Adwords didn’t die. There are more users of Adwords now then there ever
was. There are more “self‐proclaimed Adwords Gurus” then ever. There are more
Adwords guides in general then there ever was.
And each one of them covers Adwords from a different aspect.
But most of them don’t cover this simple subject: What happened to everyone’s
favorite method?
Well, Google Cash still covers it, and it is still the cornerstone of that series.
But I am going to tell you right now, right here how to do it. It may cost a little
more money to do it now than it did back then, but it actually works in your
favor…
Are you ready? Then let’s begin.
3. Find your Product.
You obviously have to have a product in order to affiliate for. Whether it’s a
Clickbank product or Amazon or whatever, find your product.
Get your hoplink for that product.
Easiest to show would be Clickbank.
For example, my Ultimate Profit Program is on Clickbank with 65% commissions.
It’s link looks like this: http://youraffiliateid.1freesite1.hop.clickbank.net/
This is your hoplink or affiliate link.
Buy a domain
I know, right? You have to spend money. Damn. Don’t domains cost like 20 bucks?
Ya, even for GoDaddy or Yahoo Domains, they cost about $20 a year.
Normally yes, but 1and1 has domains for $7 a year. The cheapest, most reliable
web company I know of (and use).
Open up 1and1 right now and look for a domain similar to the name of the
product you are promoting.
Say if you were promoting my Ultimate Profit Program, you could use something
like:
4. Adding an “s” to the domain: UltimateProfitsProgram.com
Using a misspelling: UltiamteProfitProgram.com
Even using a different extension: UltimateProfitProgram.net
Just find a domain similar to the product you’re promoting.
Mask or Frame Direct the Domain
Once you have your domain, and your Hoplink, you’re going to put 2 and 2
together. Go to your domain’s info and where it says “location” or “destination”
(or whatever depending on the company you use. If you use 1and1, it should be
destination). You’re going to “mask” or “frame direct” your new domain to your
hoplink.
If there is extra information to fill out, then just fill it out to the best of your
knowledge. Put keywords that you want in your page’s frame.
That’s all there is to it. Direct Linking lives!
Why you are doing this:
Well, once you have your own domain, you can now use that for Adwords, and
send your adwords traffic to, instead of just a hoplink. And by masking or frame
redirecting/forwarding, people will not be able to see your hoplink or affiliate id.
Benefits of your own domain:
• You can also send organic traffic to your own domain, boosting profits
• Your affiliate Id is Hidden from others to see
• This increases your Relevancy score for Google, lowering CPC
5. • It can show up in the Google search results if it gets enough traffic
• The keywords you use are in the domain name
There’s probably more, but you really should stop reading and just take action.
It’s an easy 3 step process:
1: Get Affiliate Id for Product
2: Get a 1and1 domain
3: Mask your affiliate id and send traffic to it!
Hope you enjoyed this report.
