This document discusses how music can be analyzed from both an internal structural perspective as well as how it expresses emotions and represents external meanings. Internally, music has elements like melody, harmony, and rhythm, while emotionally it can imitate the human voice or movement. Externally, music can reflect society and culture or be associated with personal experiences, advertisements, movies, or program music that musically depicts scenes. Lyrics in songs also represent meanings through their subject matter, vocabulary, and poetic structure.
