8. 1. BACTERIA:
Bacteria are the micro-organisms present in nature
and cause serious diseases like Typhoid, dysentery and
paratyphoid fever.
EFFECTS OF WATER POLLUTION ON HUMANS:
9. 2. PESTICIDES:
Pesticides can damage the nervous
system and can cause cancer
because of the carbonates and
organophosphates they contain.
EFFECTS OF WATER POLLUTION ON HUMANS:
3. LEAD:
Lead is hazardous to health
because lead can accumulate in
our body and damage the
central nervous system.

10. 4. Fluoride
Fluorides in excessive amount can make your
teeth yellow and cause damage to the spinal
cord.

EFFECTS OF WATER POLLUTION ON HUMANS:
11. EFFECT OF WATER
POLLTION ON MARINE LIFE
11
There are several effects of water pollution which are faced by
marine life are following:
• In 2010, the accident of BP Deepwater horizon, offshore
drilling disaster.
• In 3rd September 2019, tons of hazardous medical waste
like syringes, blood vials washed up on the Karachi
seashore.
• One-third of china is suffering from the acid rain. The
Acid rain can turn river or lake water acidic, kill fishes and
other animals.
• The nuclear waste is the waste which obtain radioactive
elements.
• The toxic chemical from industrial and agricultural waste
generate fatty tissue of animals which leads toward failure
in their reproductive system.
• The microbial from sewage contain infectious diseases that
infect marine life.
12. “WAYS TO AVERT WATER
POLLUTION”
Skip the use of plastic instead use / produce an alternate of plastic.
Avoid direct dumping into water.
Treat industrial chemicals before draining them into water.
Abstain from disposing medical wastes in water. .
Maintain financial budgets to manage the water purification systems.
Plant trees near water sources and avoid deforestation.
