UNIT G321
Music Magazine
Evaluation
Who would be the audience for your media
product?
How did you attract/address your audience?
The age range which my
magazine will be targeted at
children aged 8 – 15.
The gender which I will
target my product at is female.
The social classes
will include categories C2,D and E.
The ethnicity in which
my magazine is aimed at anyone as
there is not a specific ethical
reference made.
The genre of music I have chosen is
POP, this is because I enjoy listening
pop music and believe I can work with
pop better than if I were to choose a
different genre
I believe that this genre was most effective in
attracting my audience as within my targets daily
lives they will listen to this genre of music, this is
because it is played through the radio and also in
TV programmes. I also believe that the audience
which I have chosen is stereotypically attracted to
this genre of music, this will help me in attracting
the audience as I have been able to refer to
professional magazines for some inspiration on
how to perhaps attract an audience most
effectively.
What kind of
marketing
campaigns do you
think would attract
your audience
when your
magazine is
released?
The marketing
campaigns which I
would use are TV
adverts. This is
because it will appear
on a very popular
activity for my target
audience. This will
show them the
magazine in more
detail, they are also
more likely to see the
magazine on TV than
any other marketing
campaign.
Who’s new on the
scene?”
This is my headline on my front
cover, I have made the decision to
not include a cover line as I
believe that if the audience is left
hanging with just a rhetorical
question they are more likely to
pick up the magazine and read
inside to find out more!
My double page spread story
attracts my audience as it shows
how the celebrity featured has
made their name and also advice
to the audience on how to be
successful and how they can
possibly make their name!
