2. It is clear from my
data that it is good to
have some sort of
build- up story, I think
this is because it
makes the song more
understandable and
relatable for the
audience. Katy Perrys
‘ROAR’ is a good
example of this.
3. Themes often match the
genre of song. But
sometimes this is not
always the case. So it is
important to find out what
people prefer to view not
just here. The people that
answered my
questionnaire are people
from London which is why
urban theme was the most
popular. I think this theme
can often bee interesting
because there is so much
to film and a lot of
different shot types that
you can use. The variety
makes it enjoyable for the
viewer.
4.
5. This question enabled me
to see what type of people
were answering my
questionnaire. Because the
majority watch music
videos 8-11 times a month.
It is clear that they have
knowledge of music videos
and a clear understanding
of what they like to view.
6. It is clear when I go to
create my music video
I need to focus on
lighting, varied
footage and
transitions.
7. The majority said that
the artist should be in
the music video because
it looks good and makes
sense. For that reason
when I create my video I
will make sure that the
model is acting as the
artist and lip syncing to
add cohesion and
structure, so the video is
easy to understand.
8. Familiar names such as Adele and Beyoncé –
two famous women empowering singers came
up but also quite unknown urban female
singers were chosen such as jorja smith and
Corrine bailey Rae came up. It seems from my
research that female artists are more popular.
So I will be using a female in my video.
9. Narrative is the most
popular type of music
video. Therefore I will
make to portray a
relatable story
10. Due to my results
the song I shall pick,
will be an
urban/pop as that is
what appeals to the
majority.
