19. Yahoo Maps (2002 – 2015)
Predating Google Maps by a full three years, Yahoo Maps failed to remain a relevant mapping force in the
Obama era. And now it's mapping roads in the afterworld, a victim of Yahoo's latest bout of spring cleaning.
Also included in this round of cuts was Yahoo Pipes, which was kind of like IFTTT, but much more confusing.
20. Yahoo! Maps
• Shutdown[edit]
• On June 4, 2015, Yahoo! announced that Yahoo! Maps would
be shut down, along with Yahoo! Pipes, at the end of the
month.[5]
• As of 28 April 2016, Yahoo! Maps can still be accessed
at https://maps.yahoo.com/b/
• As of 24 October 2016, Yahoo! Maps is no longer showing
any data.
• As of 6 November 2016, Yahoo! Maps (maps.yahoo.com)
redirects to a Yahoo! Search for the word "maps".

24. "Adobe Flash" (1996 - 2015*)
Okay, Flash didn't die off completely, but
it is getting a new purpose and name:
Animate CC(that changeover will
officially happen next year). In recent
years, much of Flash's functionality was
taken over by less malware-prone
elements in HTML5, meaning Flash-cum-
Animate will need to find a new raison
d'etre. Adobe describes Animate CC as a
"premier web animation tool for
developing HTML 5 content," but the
new platform will definitely still support
Flash.
25. Apple Newsstand (2011 – 2015)
Apple Newsstand had to die so that Apple News could live. Let each new generation have its own
iOS-based newsgathering app.
26. The Facebook "Other" Inbox (??? – 2015)
You didn't even know you had a Facebook folder full of messages from complete strangers, so don't act upset
or overly nostalgic that it changed its name to "Message Requests.“
27. Dropbox Mailbox (2013 – 2015*)
Officially scheduled to pass into software Valhalla in February, Dropbox's email client was the victim of a
recent reorganization initiative. The same fate awaited the company's two-year-old photo app, Carousel.
28. Google+ Photos (2011 – 2015)
Google is putting all its photo resources into its excellent new service, Google Photos. That means that it
had to pull resources from Google+'s innovative photos channel. Can the rest of G+ really be far behind?
Check back next year!
29. Samsung Wallet (2013 – 2015)
Oh, who cares. It's dead now. Why? Because Samsung Pay apparently does something completely different
somehow.
30. Quirky (2009 – 2015)
Last year, the "invention hub" Quirky paid to produce and run a bunch of TV spots touting how their CEO, Ben
Hoffman, was "the world's least important CEO." Well, as it turns out, having a CEO who sees his own worth
isn't necessarily a bad thing as the company announced it would be entering Chapter 11 this year.
31. Playboy Nudes (1953 – 2015*)
Earlier this year, Playboy announced that beginning with the March 2016 issue, the magazine would no
longer feature "full nudity." This isn't necessarily a tech story, BUT ubiquitous access to digital n00dz is
almost certainly what murdered the decades-old tradition of glossy nekkid lady portraiture.
32. Twitter DM 140-Character Limit (2006? – 2015)
Twitter made the wise decision to kill off the unnecessary 140-character limit on messages sent between users
of the service (so-called "Direct Messages," or "DMs"). As of writing, they thankfully have yet to make good
on their threat to banish the 140-character limit altogether.

'(boards.4chan.org/pol/)에 "테이가 차별 발언을 하도록 훈련시
