This document summarizes India's development since independence across several areas:
Reservation based on caste has had both adverse effects by benefiting some undeserving people over deserving ones, while initiatives like Make in India have brought foreign investment and increased GDP by encouraging manufacturing. Infrastructure development through public-private partnerships has attracted foreign investors to sectors like railways, roads, airports and power. However, India still faces challenges around resource processing and automotive safety standards, as seen in some vehicles failing crash tests, while air pollution from vehicles in cities like Kolkata remains a concern despite lower overall numbers compared to Western nations.

• The Kolkata data shows that although the number of
vehicles in Indian cities is smaller compared to western
cities, yet the intensity of pollution caused by them is
apparently the same, if not more.

is produced.
• Resources are the major factors which helps a
nation to grow.
