Case: Biscuit Waste Treatment
As a result of mechanical errors, an average of 1.5 to 2 tons of cracked
biscuits and misshapes result per week, known as biscuit waste.
Biscuit waste treatment is a common practice by biscuit factories that allows
them reduce the cost associated with the waste.
An essential task for successful treatment is separating defected biscuits
from their wrappers. This task is usually performed manually, which
comprises its own challenges if to be done in an efficient manner:
 Requires Significant Manpower
 Consumes high processing time
 Increases risk of contamination (Hygiene related)
In an effort to provide an efficient solution for the biscuit waste treatment
process, we invented the Biscuit Waste Separating Machine (BWSM), a
revolutionary machine and the first of its kind designed for this purpose.

Machine Specifications
 Two available models:
 BWSM-250: processing throughput up to 250 Kg/hr
 BWSM-500: processing throughput up to 500 Kg/hr
 The machine separates high volumes of biscuit crumbs from the
wrapper
 The machine grinding and sifting the biscuits crumbs
 The machine pushes both out to two separating exits
 Treats All Kinds of plain Biscuits ( soft , hard , cracker ) , Cookies
filled biscuits , rice cereal and corn flakes coated bars .
 All the Surfaces touching the Biscuits are Stainless Steel-316
 Easy to operate with only One Labor Manpower.

BWSM Operational Overview
Two empty containers are placed at the machine outlet, where biscuits & wrappers will be separated
at the final stage of the process
The operator fills the machine hopper
with the wrapped damaged biscuits
Biscuits waste automatically flows
through folding conveyor and from their
to the cutting unit which then moves
onto the cylindrical sieve
Biscuits waste is transferred from the
cylindrical sieve to the outlet unit which
separates the crumbs from their wrapper
and pushes the wrapper out of the
machine and the crumbs to the treatment
system
Finally after separation the biscuits
crumbs grinded and sifted and pushes
out of the machine

Full Automatic Treatment Line Operation
For best treatment performance and biscuits waste powder quality
we can join this machine into a full automatic treatment line for
biscuits waste .
1. we start with the BWSM machine to separate the biscuits
crumbs from their wrapper .
2. than we push the biscuits crumbs to the grinder machine ,
passing first through a metal detector to detect any metal ,
which grinds it down to 50 micron , and thereafter to the
wrapper to the wrapper outlets into a bag .
3. after grinding we push the biscuits powder to the screening
machine to refine the products from any objects .
4. then we push the biscuits powder to the closed storage tanks
to avoid any moisture and unpleasant odors .
5. finally we take the biscuits powder to the dough mixers by
automatic system one by one depending to the dough mixers
operator orders and weight .
6. all this entire process is controlled by PLC program .
7. the process operated by maximum 5 labors , that usually
require up to 20 labors daily to manually treating the biscuits
waste and remixed again with dough in the dough mixers .
