literature, music and information and the activity of
making information available to the public; Publishing is
made up of a diverse group of industries including; books,
journals, newspapers, etc.
The publishing industry is the process that manufactures
literature spread on non fiction information for e.g. music,
fashion and current affairs

workforce.

• Vogue
• The British edition of Vogue is a fashion magazine that has been
published since the autumn of 1916. The magazine's current editor stated
that, “Vogue’s power is universally acknowledged. It’s the place everybody
wants to be if they want to be in the world of fashion" and 85% of the
magazine’s readers agree that “Vogue is the Fashion Bible”.
• Hello Magazine
• Hello is a weekly magazine specializing in celebrity news and
human-interest stories, published in the United Kingdom
since 1988

• Arthur Turnure founded vogue. It’s a private
sector company. Vogue ownership now is Condé
Montrose Nast as vogue has been on the stock
market. Vogue Magazine receives all of its
funding from ads spreads within the Fashion
magazine.
• Hello Magazine is a private sector companies
and is owned jUNCO, which is governed by
Eduardo Sanchez. Hello Magazine receives all of
its funding’s from ads Spreads within the Gossip
and Style.

5. The advantages of magazines having
presence on different platforms
• There are advantages and disadvantages about
magazines having different platforms. Advantage
would be that people buy the apps from their smart
phone to get the news and what's good about that is
that they get the latest news straight away while if
the bought a magazines they would have to wait
another week to read that news. A disadvantage
would be that no one is going to buy the magazines
because they could get it from apps also some apps
are free which means some buyers are going to
those apps just so they don’t pay.

linked to?
• Publishing is relating to photo imaging and
advertising and marketing. When your going
to publish a story you need pictures and that’s
when photography and photo imaging
industry comes in they provide the pictures.
Publishing is linked to advertising and
marketing because when magazine is
published they have so many adverts in it
which advertise brands to products to film.
