Lessons Learned: Cloud vs On-premise 
• Plan ahead! Request P2T clones well in advance to ensure 
Cloud operations availability: first come, first served. 
• Request Production and Stage patching synchronization during 
implementation project 
• Beware of last-minute patches before go-live: you will get them, 
whether you like it or not 
• Although like for like migration, it is still a different system 
• No more DBA support required: make sure Oracle Cloud Ops are your 
new best friends

• Use Oracle Identity Federation: connect the Cloud to the 
corporate identity store for seamless user experience

• Encourage self service: disabling it will cost you 
• Keep it real: discourage customizations
