With our Migration Wizard you can automatically
export:

But you cannot export:
› Organizations and Groups
› Private Notes
› Knowledge base articles
› Inline images
› HelpShift settings
› Macros, reports, automation rules

Make sure you have admin privileges on both
accounts.
Disable Email Notifications, Observer, Scenario,
Dispatch’r, and Supervisor Automations in Freshdesk
to prevent customers from getting email notifications
during the migration.
Create all necessary custom fields in Freshdesk. Note
that you can export text fields only.
9. Help Desk Migration

Link your HelpShift
account
Fill out the form specifying the
URL of your HelpShift instance,
API token and Ticket ID with
custom meta data*.
Then click Continue.
*Note that HelpShift allows migrating only text
custom fields. Therefore, this ticket should contain all
text fields you want to migrate. You’ll be able to match
them up in Migration Wizard.

Connect your
Freshdesk account
Next, you need to specify where to
import the tickets. Provide the
URL of your Freshdesk instance
and the API key.
Then click Continue.

Choose the data you
need to migrate
Check the boxes to select the data
you want to export. Click Map
Fields to match up ticket fields.
Once you’re done matching the
fields, click Save mapping to save
your settings.
Click Continue to start the trial
migration.

Test the migration
Once you’ve mapped ticket fields, start your
Free Demo Migration. This will import 20
tickets to Freshdesk for you to check the
quality of the export and see if there are any
issues with the data.
You can restart the Demo Migration as many
times as you need.

WHEN YOU’RE READY
If you’re ready to export all data from
HelpShift, then proceed to the payment.
Once the payment is complete, you can
start the Full Migration*.
*You need to manually initiate the migration in your
Help Desk Migration account.
