Tener (e>ie) = to have
Tengo = I have
tienes = you have
tiene = he or she has
tenemos = we have
tenéis = yall have
tienen = they have
Notice how the e changes to an
ie (e>ie) for all forms but
nosotros and vosotros. Also
the yo form tengo is irregular.
6. Tener & Temperature
ener doesn't mean to have
when used with the
following expressions:
ener calor. = To be hot.
ener frío. = To be cold.
Examples:
Yo tengo calor. = I am hot.
Tú tienes calor. = You are hot.
Ella tiene frío. = She is cold.
Nosotros tenemos frío. = We are cold.
Ellos tienen calor. = They are hot.
Notice how we don't see "have" in the
definitions. Weird right?

9. Hace + Weather = Weather
Remember that to say it is windy,
cold, cool or hot outside, use
HACE + weather description
Examples
Hace frío. = It's cold.
Hace calor. = It's hot.
Hace fresco. = It's cool.
Hace viento. = It's windy.

Take off the -ar at the end and

200-900 do agree in gender
with the nouns they modify:

And for 200 blusas:
doscientas blusas
300 coats = ?
400 skirts = ?

14. Faltar = to need, missing or lack
If you like need or lack 2 things
(plural) use:
Me faltan doscientos dólares. = I
lack/need 200 dollars.
Te faltan doscientos colones. =
You 200 colones.
Le faltan las clases de español. =
He misses the Spanish classes.
Nos faltan los suéteres. = We
need the sweaters.
Les faltan las joyas. = They are
missing the jewels.
It does NOT act like other
verbs. Observe.
If you like one thing (singular) use:
Me falta el traje de baño. = I need
a bathing suit.
Te falta el abrigo. = You need a
coat.
Le falta un dólar. = He/she/it is
missing a dollar.
Nos falta la tarea.= We are
missing the homework.
