This document presents a final report on vehicle to vehicle communication. It introduces V2V communication and its ability to allow vehicles to communicate in real time to share information. This can enable applications like accident prevention, file sharing, emergency alerts, speed monitoring, and anti-theft mechanisms. It discusses the communication technologies of Bluetooth, Zigbee, WiFi and UWB that can enable V2V. It provides details on how various V2V applications like file sharing, speed monitoring, anti-theft, accident prevention, and emergency vehicle path clearance would function. It concludes with the advantages of reducing accidents and saving time, and disadvantage of potential problems when signals are dropped.
3. Introduction
• In the Fast moving world we need have to
every thing connected to each other. So on
this principle companies are trying to make
intelligent transport system(smart vehicles)
which can communicate with each other in
real time.
6. V2V technological overview
• Vehicle are occupied with sample antenna,
computer chip and global positioning system
(Provides the Geo Location to the GPS through
satellite).
9. File sharing
• File sharing used in cell phones is handed by
the processing unit so that file exchange will
now be done directly between the cars
10. Speed monitoring
• Two types of vehicle involved:
i) On duty police vehicle
ii) Passenger or private vehicle
• By the use of specific identifier police vehicle
can get access to the speedometer reading of
all cars within a range of 400 500 meter
diameter
11. Anti theft mechanism
• If a car stolen, owner of the car can put a
stolen tag on it form his/her mobile phone so
that all the other cars will know when the
stolen car is in their vicinity.
12. Steps to prevent road block
• For example road accident has occurred
• Second, the car accidents will broad cast the
road block situation to road side units
• Third the side units will broadcast all the cars
to change route if possible or change lane
13. Accident Prevention
• Location, speed and alignment is used to
predict location after certain time
• The predicted location will be broad casted to
all of the cars in a particular diameter
• If there is any probability of collision between
any two or more cars than warning beep will
be buzzed in the respective cars
14. Emergency vehicle
• In this application an emergency vehicle will
set an emergency tag and broadcast
• All the vehicle in his path will receive this if
they have path they will pullover
• Otherwise they will broadcast traffic jam and
emergency vehicle will change route
