Who we are The Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce (http://www.hiscec.com) is a B2B membership-based national small business association focused on providing tools and solutions to members to increase their presence online. Why the Hispanic Business Market? There are over 2.3 million Hispanic-owned Businesses in the U.S. Hispanic businesses are the nation’s largest minority business segment and will double in size in less than 10 years. Sales from Hispanic-owned businesses will reach $539.0 billion by 2012. (HispanTelligence) Why the Internet? There are over 23 million Hispanics online, about 52 percent of the US Hispanic population. By 2012, nearly 30 million US Hispanics will be online. Many of them will be native-born Hispanics rather than immigrants. (eMarketer) Hispanics comprise 14 percent of the U.S. adult population and about half of this growing group (56 percent) goes online. (U.S. Census Bureau) Ten percent of Latinos have a college degree, and of that small group, 89 percent go online.
