Descriptive Essay About My City
Our town is more home to us than our actual house. We make so much memories around town,
whether it's dining out with the family at a local restaurant or learning how to ride a bike at our
local park to spending our first paycheck at the local mall. Our town is very precious and we often
take for granted, what a privilege it is to live in a place where so much is accessible to us. We
often oversee all the little things our town offers like the stores, the parks, the many street lights
that keep our town well lit, and the well paved roads. Today I will discuss the description of my
town, the people that make up my neighborhood, and the perks of living in Orland Park.
Orland Park is a southwest suburb in Illinois. It is a well known town due to it's many fine dining
restaurants, shopping centers, and great school district. Orland Park is a busy town and to fit the
needs of the people, the busiest street was just remodeled. Lagrange Road was just remodeled and
widened into a three lane road in each direction. According to the Illinois Department of
Transportation website, "The project cost ninety–five million dollars and took three years to
complete." Now there is a brick median in the road that is filled with trees, flowers, and small
bushes. On the southbound side of LaGrange Road there is a walking trail, that is also used as a
biking trail. Most of the shopping centers and buildings all have the same design. The buildings
consist of tan colored bricks and long but narrow

Descriptive Essay About Sadness
Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to
waterski. But I learned what sadness is.
My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my
grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't doing well. But I had absolutely no conception
of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of
anything by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly
could, carrying my grandfather 's walker places, and playing endless games of scrabble with him.
My grandfather is the best scrabble player I have ever met. Every time I had visited him, we had
played at least once a day and he would beat me...show more content...
My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and
over again. He had passed away. I didn't even know him well, but the idea that he could just be gone
terrified me. Now it was happening to my grandfather.
"How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her.
"How can someone be here one day, and then gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and
cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day
Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with
him? It's just not fair!"
I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each
other and crying our eyes out. There was so much sadness in me. It was like a black hole,
swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I
would cry and feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping
inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting consumed.
My mum's face streamed with tears. "I feel the same way," she whispered before falling into heart
wrenching sobs, the same sobs that had been haunting me for months, as she had been crying over
her dad's

Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend
My best friend, I remember it was the first days of my senior year when I met my him, we had
1st, 3rd and 7th hour together. I saw him since the first day but I didn't talk to him at all, so after a
couple days in school he sat next to me, and I was like "He seems nice, I'm going to talk to him"
so I did, I remember he had a bracelet on his hand, and say "that's a nice bracelet" he looked at me
really bad like I was bothering him and he just say "thank you" and he moved his hand away, I
was so sad because I felt like he didn't liked me, so I didn't talk to him, I was like that's what I get
for trying to be nice. After a couple weeks he kept seating next to me, one day he started talking to
me and out of nowhere we became friends, he had so many things in common, the type of music we
listen, he has a great sense of humor, I just loved his personality. But he say that's not how things
happen, at least that's how I remember them.
I truly believe it was because of proximity that we became friends, because we interact with each
other, and after the first thirty minutes of talking to him, I felt so comfortable talking with him, if
he had never sat next to me probably I wouldn't met him. Approach behaviors played a big role in our
friendship because I saw that he was interested on getting to know me and I was so interested on him
too, after spend weeks getting information about him, his background and his interest, I considered
him my truthly friend and I can be myself around him.

Filled with excitement and joy I began to fill my suitcase, overloading with clothing that I most
likely will not wear. A I finish my exaggerated packing I heard a thumping sound of knocks at the
front door. I hurriedly squish everything and make my way to the door only to be greeted by Ely's
joyful expression. Once we manage to pack our things in the trunk we head off to the airport.
Once at the airport were greeted with our growling tummies ready to devour. We have fifteen
minutes before our flight leaves, we quickly rush and get in line to the subway station. When
ordering I could see all the available sets of nutritional vegetables. The scent of sweet coffee filled
my nostrils from the Starbucks station next to the subway. Once are meals our set we quickly
stuff our hungry faces and hear a loud announcement that our flight was to depart in 10 minutes.
When seated I tried to manage my tangles hair and off we were to our vacation in Honduras.
Once, we reached the end of our flight we were met with the difficulty of finding our bags, once
we did we excitedly made our way to the exit. As soon as we stepped outside the scent of good

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one
person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and
a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person
as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check
and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and
teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life
after my parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the
greatest influence on my life growing up. Anyone who has known my...show more content...
Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her
kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us
straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger
if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost
nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is
very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later.
She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would
love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music.
She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on
what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that
I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend
time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the
opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really
did. I guess that's just the type of person I was, someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I
always liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always
found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate
"was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it,
the way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even
enjoy a cup unless it's lighter than my own skin tone, which, by the way, is pretty pale. I mean I
wouldn't call myself pasty but... Anyhow, it...show more content...
My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been
thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most of the people on the train were older women with
their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness.
However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I
named this man Frank and created a story for him when another man caught my eye. It was his
coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I
worked out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest,
however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even real. My eyes drifted towards the
right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk
in my direction. He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated
up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb strapped to his chest. Spending
the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began
to panic. Next thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to
prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for everybody on the train to panic.
It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an
orchestra of agony and it

Descriptive Paragraph About My Family
My mom's name is Lisa and she was a PTA but is now a stay at home mom. My dad's name is
Luis and he was a chemical and nuclear engineer, but now owns his own business. I have 3 sisters:
Angie, Silencia, and Mahalia. I also have 3 brothers: Matthias, Geminiah, and Elshaddai. Angie
works with my dad to eventually take over the family business. The rest of my siblings are in
school except for Elshaddai who is only 3. My family expects me to be a good example to my
younger siblings and encourage them. To do this they also expect me to do well in school and in
athletics. My mom is a very outgoing, loud, and energetic person. My dad is also very outgoing
and loud, but he has more of a serious side to him. Angie is really fun, but she also has a more
relaxed personality. Mahalia is very loud, active, and argumentative. Silencia is the most soft–spoken
and relaxed out of everyone. Matthias is very outgoing, loud, and active. Geminiah and Elshaddai
are both loud and very active. I have good relationships with everyone in my family. I do have
small disagreements with my siblings sometimes, but we all love each other a lot. I had a very
unusual childhood, but it was still fun. My childhood was unusual because it involved a lot of
training but that's what we did together as a family, and growing up I had friends that did the same
thing and we all enjoyed it.
In grade school I competed in a lot of powerlifting meets and got to travel all over the country to
break world records. I missed

Losing Someone Essay
Losing Someone The world seems to stand still when you are told. That feeling you have never
felt before, of total sadness. You feel faint and dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were
told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say,
you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of
there, to escape, runaway anything to make this feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had
happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit

favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how
special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt
like she was actually there with us which was a huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk
and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so close
to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time
was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her
which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she was

Descriptive Essay About Death
I understood suffering and love and how they both went hand and hand when I looked down at my
father's gravestone for the last time. The cemetery was nice–well, as "nice" as a cemetery could be.
Paved paths lined the land, so no one had an excuse to stomp all over the grass in their shoes. You'd
think the grass then would be an untouched summer green; instead, it always gave off the look to me
as being half–dead. As if it could tell it resided in a graveyard, so it of course mirrored the only thing
it knew– death. It was a weathered day. Wind pulled on my jacket collar, a sharp breeze passing
completely through me. The air howled into my ears, screaming things I could not make sense of.
The grey sky was two large stretched–out hands reaching for each other. Layers upon layers of
ashen cloud lined above me, hiding the blue and sunlight trapped behind. Yet, the briefest of sun rays
broke through small holes in the cinder haze, only to illuminate the top of the aging head stone just
briefly. But the scene wasn't as off–putting as it would have been to others. Instead, I found some
comfort in the cold and darkness. It was as if the world was mourning his death. The wind, side by
side with me, in this time. I wondered then what it would be like if the earth could truly feel.
Maybe life would be less cruel in that way. Mother nature would look into me and see what lay
beneath–a young boy hidden in my shadow casted onto the ground. A young boy with eyes down
pouring like the

"Maybe like 3 months.", I responded. "What! Three months why didn't you tell me".
" I didn't tell you because I thought you wouldn't understand.", I said in a tone that almost sounded
annoyed, which I think I might have been.
" I think you should go to the doctor.", she told me. I didn't want to go to the doctor, but I knew
that it would most likely help me. A couple days later I went to the doctor and he just asked me a
bunch of questions. One of the questions was, what did it feel like to have an anxiety attack. That

Descriptive Essay About My Sister
If you took one look at my sister, your first thought would be "bubbly" My sister is about one of
the most bubbly people you can imagine. Her physical appearance even shows it: tiny, blonde,
innocent eyes, and a huge smile. Its as if you were to look up bubbly in the dictionary and there
would be a picture of her just smiling, almost skipping along, and even blowing bubbles. Within
seconds of meeting my sister, you can tell how extremely outgoing she is because of the way she
presents herself. Its that bubbly huge personality that has given me confidence and reassurance to
be who I am. My sister doesn't care what others are thinking about her. She is able to always make it
seem as if she is so happy. "Happiness is the only way to survive!" she always exclaims to me.
But behind that extremely outgoing and bubbly personality is the most determined person I know.
My sister's work ethic is easily the most inspirational thing about her. My most vivid memory of a
demonstration this is one particular day when I came home from my practice to find my sister
sitting on her bed in an organized mess of papers. For hours, she sat there just writing, reading, and
emailing so many things. Even after I finished everything I was doing, I still saw her sit there trying
to get everything done. What amazed me about this is no matter how much yelling and chaos
surrounded her, still she sat, because she had an incredible drive to finish everything.
Although my sister is constantly busy with school, one of the greatest things about her is that she
knows how to find a balance. Even with all the stress in her life she knows exactly how to have a
little fun. As I was laying on my bed one day just trying to finish up some school work late at
night after coming home from theater, my sister pulled me up and dragged me out of bed. When
I moaned "What are you even doing?" she _ to me "Dance! Just dance!". So being the confident
person she was, she turned on music and just started dancing as if she had no care in the world.
Lori grabbed my arms, forcing them to move, once again she hollered "Dance!". Its this moment
that reminds me that it is absolutely necessary to find a balance of work and fun. For my sister, her
balance is five minute

grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's

people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group
projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work
together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic
circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme
gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a

someone that's been a stranger to me for years and learned some interesting facts about them as a
person. My stranger, Jake Allen, appears to be very confident in his appearance, athletic,

Even though he only has thirty posts, he has three hundred followers. His newest posts received
over one hundred likes and multiple comments. This shows popularity is indeed something he
has, confirming my theory from above. All the pictures look very professional, which reveals
again he greatly cares about the way he presents himself. In one posts, Jake holds a surfboard with
the caption "try something new. you will amaze yourself with what you are capable of", from
this it is implied he has never surfed before. Not only does this post show Jake is alright with
going out of his comfort zone and attempting something brand new, but he is also very athletic.
From last years boys' volleyball JV 1 roster, I found Jake Allen 's name. This shows that he takes
time and keeps himself in shape. By making it into JV 1, it shows he is very dedicated and
responsible. Not only does he practice a lot to maintain his skill level in volleyball, he also had to
balance school work with the sport. His posture in class also revealed many things about him as a
person. Jake Allen is always slouched down and does not move very often, presenting himself as a

Descriptive Essay On Being Alone
Alone. My emotions all pertained to this word – : being neglected because I was different from
others. My prickly exterior caused people to overlook me. And my friends, let's just say I didn't
have any. I never had an intention to hurt anyone, but this was who I was and the reason for my
loneliness. As days, months, even years passed, people ignored the true beauty in me. I was
constantly left sitting alone in the cold, damp corner with no one to interact with. This was my
fate. My life was basically forlorn. I was going to be alone, forever. It wasn't until a sunny,
summer day when hope came in the form of hands picking me up from the dark place I was
sitting. It was the first time someone examined me! This boy, my new owner, had passion
gleaming from his eyes: he was waiting for this moment to pick me up and take me home. But
why me? Why after all this waiting has someone finally chose me? After all, there were plenty of
other plants at the store. Why a cactus? As he carried me back to his house I began to worry.
What if I was ignored and placed in the corner like at the store? There was a maelstrom of conflicts
and apprehensions inside me, but as we entered his home, it was empty. I was his first plant! Being
the first plant in a house was a privilege, and it was unbelievable that a plant as insignificant as me
was given this privilege. My owner's hospitality was endless: I was constantly fed water when
thirsty, fed fertilize r when hungry, and given enough sunlight when cold to grow. It was like he
could read my mind and gavegive me whatever I wanted, whenever I needed it. The feeling of
loneliness was fading away, and I felt as if I finally had someone who cared about me. Rather than
judging my current deamor like the rest of the customers, my owner saw my inner beauty, thus,
forming an unbreakable bond between us. Being a cactus made it hard for me to fit in with other
plants, yet after all the time I spent with my owner–or should I say caretaker– I felt that everything
was going to be fine, that was until... My caretaker began to gain a passion for other plants, and
when summer arrived there came a different plant every month ranging from trending tropical to
durable desert plants. His home was

Descriptive Essay About A Hero
When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even
superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my
definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway
when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it
puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind
is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and
strong. She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for
others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you? On September 24th of 2017, my
parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the
afternoon. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As
we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another
awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how
long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her
response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm
place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and

ultimately trigger emotions, which in the end, possibly provide you with a valuable lesson.
The glorious summer of 2008 resulted from the sun and air's collaboration to fulfill my desire to
have balmy weather. The trees composedly swayed while the neighborhood kids played and giggled
around them, and their parents prepared for work. In the midst of this, I woke...show more content...
I got very restless as she opened for business, since I didn't know how to spend my time, I lead my
feet to the coolers located on the far opposite side of the checkout area that were filled with
different types of waters and juices. Although I was tempted to pick out a juice, I chose a
strawberry flavored water, and I decided to save the juice for later. With my drink, I happily walked
to the candy aisle that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles. My eyes couldn 't locate the
KitKat wafers, my all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort
of my chair empty handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a
championship game. My eyes ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while my heart wept and
yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the
aisle. With a small ray of hope buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and
inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I inspected each of
the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the
sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started
celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I
approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look,

Descriptive Essay About My Life
Life, it's a cruel, but funny thing. Life will throw you multiple obstacles just to get you to one
point, message, or lesson. It'll give you the most horrible situations, but give you an outcome of
happiness and love. This is what I went through. I went through an obstacle in life that showed
me that it's not worth it to be harsh, cruel, or mean to your loved ones or piers. This obstacle
showed me that we allow ourselves to let our emotions in the way of the truth and in the way of
love. This obstacle shaped me to be the person I am today. Now listen to why I give these reasons.

We all thought it was old age. Over the months she passed out 3 more times. Now I knew
something was wrong, everyone knew something was wrong. My grandmother wasn 't smiling as
much and had a face of pain, but that face was soon gone when someone stepped into the room. I
knew she was hiding something, I knew she wasn't letting us know how she was feeling. I went
to the hospital with my grandma multiple times, it was becoming a daily routine for me, but one
day was special. My grandmother, dad, grandfather, and I all went to the hospital to get my
grandmother checked out for once and for all. I remember sitting in the waiting room, watching
as my grandfather comes out with a face of worry. I asked what was wrong. It turns out my
grandmother had stage 4 colon cancer and it was bad. The cancer was so bad to the point that
chemotherapy couldn't fix it. I would sit on the couch watching my grandmother lay on the red
reclining chair that squeaked every time you moved, just staring at the TV. It was at this moment
when reality hit me, and it hit me hard. My grandmother who was practically my mother too was
extremely sick and is not going to get any better. I looked at her and everything changed in her
appearance. She no longer had the full head of brown hair, but a baldish head with grey hair. She
no longer had that full figure, but a sickly and bony, pale body. Her face didn't have a smile, but
when it did, it was forced. Looking at her, I

A Descriptive Essay : The Man
The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me
in the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut
your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball
is like holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into
everyday. The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique,
just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart
he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice
speaks to me on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in
my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking
at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think
we were at a comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your
body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft
hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate
every time he looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand
in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He
cares so much about what I want

Descriptive Essay Describing A Person

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About My City Our town is more home to us than our actual house. We make so much memories around town, whether it's dining out with the family at a local restaurant or learning how to ride a bike at our local park to spending our first paycheck at the local mall. Our town is very precious and we often take for granted, what a privilege it is to live in a place where so much is accessible to us. We often oversee all the little things our town offers like the stores, the parks, the many street lights that keep our town well lit, and the well paved roads. Today I will discuss the description of my town, the people that make up my neighborhood, and the perks of living in Orland Park. Orland Park is a southwest suburb in Illinois. It is a well known town due to it's many fine dining restaurants, shopping centers, and great school district. Orland Park is a busy town and to fit the needs of the people, the busiest street was just remodeled. Lagrange Road was just remodeled and widened into a three lane road in each direction. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation website, "The project cost ninety–five million dollars and took three years to complete." Now there is a brick median in the road that is filled with trees, flowers, and small bushes. On the southbound side of LaGrange Road there is a walking trail, that is also used as a biking trail. Most of the shopping centers and buildings all have the same design. The buildings consist of tan colored bricks and long but narrow Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About Sadness Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to waterski. But I learned what sadness is. My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't doing well. But I had absolutely no conception of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of anything by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly could, carrying my grandfather 's walker places, and playing endless games of scrabble with him. My grandfather is the best scrabble player I have ever met. Every time I had visited him, we had played at least once a day and he would beat me...show more content... My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and over again. He had passed away. I didn't even know him well, but the idea that he could just be gone terrified me. Now it was happening to my grandfather. "How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her. "How can someone be here one day, and then gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with him? It's just not fair!" I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each other and crying our eyes out. There was so much sadness in me. It was like a black hole, swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I would cry and feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting consumed. My mum's face streamed with tears. "I feel the same way," she whispered before falling into heart wrenching sobs, the same sobs that had been haunting me for months, as she had been crying over her dad's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend My best friend, I remember it was the first days of my senior year when I met my him, we had 1st, 3rd and 7th hour together. I saw him since the first day but I didn't talk to him at all, so after a couple days in school he sat next to me, and I was like "He seems nice, I'm going to talk to him" so I did, I remember he had a bracelet on his hand, and say "that's a nice bracelet" he looked at me really bad like I was bothering him and he just say "thank you" and he moved his hand away, I was so sad because I felt like he didn't liked me, so I didn't talk to him, I was like that's what I get for trying to be nice. After a couple weeks he kept seating next to me, one day he started talking to me and out of nowhere we became friends, he had so many things in common, the type of music we listen, he has a great sense of humor, I just loved his personality. But he say that's not how things happen, at least that's how I remember them. I truly believe it was because of proximity that we became friends, because we interact with each other, and after the first thirty minutes of talking to him, I felt so comfortable talking with him, if he had never sat next to me probably I wouldn't met him. Approach behaviors played a big role in our friendship because I saw that he was interested on getting to know me and I was so interested on him too, after spend weeks getting information about him, his background and his interest, I considered him my truthly friend and I can be myself around him. • 4. Descriptive Experience Essay Filled with excitement and joy I began to fill my suitcase, overloading with clothing that I most likely will not wear. A I finish my exaggerated packing I heard a thumping sound of knocks at the front door. I hurriedly squish everything and make my way to the door only to be greeted by Ely's joyful expression. Once we manage to pack our things in the trunk we head off to the airport. Once at the airport were greeted with our growling tummies ready to devour. We have fifteen minutes before our flight leaves, we quickly rush and get in line to the subway station. When ordering I could see all the available sets of nutritional vegetables. The scent of sweet coffee filled my nostrils from the Starbucks station next to the subway. Once are meals our set we quickly stuff our hungry faces and hear a loud announcement that our flight was to depart in 10 minutes. When seated I tried to manage my tangles hair and off we were to our vacation in Honduras. Once, we reached the end of our flight we were met with the difficulty of finding our bags, once we did we excitedly made our way to the exit. As soon as we stepped outside the scent of good cooked meted melted in our minds. Immediately our attention zoomed into the busy streets overcrowding with people. It was midday around one in the afternoon, the weather was gracious, solemn breeze swept my hair back. First thing we do is head off to the nearest restaurant in our reach. • 5. Descriptive Essay About My Mother No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life after my parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the greatest influence on my life growing up. Anyone who has known my...show more content... Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really did. I guess that's just the type of person I was, someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I always liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate "was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it, the way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even enjoy a cup unless it's lighter than my own skin tone, which, by the way, is pretty pale. I mean I wouldn't call myself pasty but... Anyhow, it...show more content... My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most of the people on the train were older women with their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness. However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I named this man Frank and created a story for him when another man caught my eye. It was his coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest, however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even real. My eyes drifted towards the right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk in my direction. He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb strapped to his chest. Spending the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began to panic. Next thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for everybody on the train to panic. It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an orchestra of agony and it Get more content on HelpWriting.net

You feel faint and dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say, you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of there, to escape, runaway anything to make this feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had happened after everything. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say goodbye. So many people were there because she was such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt like she was actually there with us which was a huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so close to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her which now I've found out is perfectly normal. • 10. Descriptive Essay About Death I understood suffering and love and how they both went hand and hand when I looked down at my father's gravestone for the last time. The cemetery was nice–well, as "nice" as a cemetery could be. Paved paths lined the land, so no one had an excuse to stomp all over the grass in their shoes. You'd think the grass then would be an untouched summer green; instead, it always gave off the look to me as being half–dead. As if it could tell it resided in a graveyard, so it of course mirrored the only thing it knew– death. It was a weathered day. Wind pulled on my jacket collar, a sharp breeze passing completely through me. The air howled into my ears, screaming things I could not make sense of. The grey sky was two large stretched–out hands reaching for each other. Layers upon layers of ashen cloud lined above me, hiding the blue and sunlight trapped behind. Yet, the briefest of sun rays broke through small holes in the cinder haze, only to illuminate the top of the aging head stone just briefly. But the scene wasn't as off–putting as it would have been to others. Instead, I found some comfort in the cold and darkness. It was as if the world was mourning his death. The wind, side by side with me, in this time. I wondered then what it would be like if the earth could truly feel. Maybe life would be less cruel in that way. Mother nature would look into me and see what lay beneath–a young boy hidden in my shadow casted onto the ground. A young boy with eyes down pouring like the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay I was in my room listening to music. My room would normally have a very serene feeling to it. My room had a beautiful dream catcher hanging on the wall and there was also a very big window that made it possible for me to see the moon every night. I always felt very relaxed in my room, but that day I could hear the screaming and arguing between my mom and my dad in the background. It was horrible. I could feel my eyes starting to water because I hated hearing my parents fight. The fighting and arguing continued for days. On one evening I could hear the voices of my parents arguing with my brothers. I was in my room as always and I started to feel room getting really hot. My mom glanced at me with a very puzzled expression on her face. "What do you mean? Are you sick?", she asked with confusion in her voice. "No, I mean I don't know I just haven 't been feeling too great emotionally i guess.", I responded in a very little voice because I thought that maybe she would think that I was crazy. Once I said that my mom stopped folding all of the laundry. "Since when?", my mom asked with a very surprised tone. "Maybe like 3 months.", I responded. "What! Three months why didn't you tell me". " I didn't tell you because I thought you wouldn't understand.", I said in a tone that almost sounded annoyed, which I think I might have been. " I think you should go to the doctor.", she told me. I didn't want to go to the doctor, but I knew that it would most likely help me. A couple days later I went to the doctor and he just asked me a bunch of questions. One of the questions was, what did it feel like to have an anxiety attack. That was probably one of the hardest questions i had ever had to answer. I couldn 't find the right words to describe how it felt. As he kept asking me questions he would write things down. I couldn't help but wonder what he was writing down. I would keep having the thought that maybe he was writing down all of the bad things. After the doctor stopped talking to me he started to talk to my mom about ways to help Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay About My Sister If you took one look at my sister, your first thought would be "bubbly" My sister is about one of the most bubbly people you can imagine. Her physical appearance even shows it: tiny, blonde, innocent eyes, and a huge smile. Its as if you were to look up bubbly in the dictionary and there would be a picture of her just smiling, almost skipping along, and even blowing bubbles. Within seconds of meeting my sister, you can tell how extremely outgoing she is because of the way she presents herself. Its that bubbly huge personality that has given me confidence and reassurance to be who I am. My sister doesn't care what others are thinking about her. She is able to always make it seem as if she is so happy. "Happiness is the only way to survive!" she always exclaims to me. But behind that extremely outgoing and bubbly personality is the most determined person I know. My sister's work ethic is easily the most inspirational thing about her. My most vivid memory of a demonstration this is one particular day when I came home from my practice to find my sister sitting on her bed in an organized mess of papers. For hours, she sat there just writing, reading, and emailing so many things. Even after I finished everything I was doing, I still saw her sit there trying to get everything done. What amazed me about this is no matter how much yelling and chaos surrounded her, still she sat, because she had an incredible drive to finish everything. Although my sister is constantly busy with school, one of the greatest things about her is that she knows how to find a balance. Even with all the stress in her life she knows exactly how to have a little fun. As I was laying on my bed one day just trying to finish up some school work late at night after coming home from theater, my sister pulled me up and dragged me out of bed. When I moaned "What are you even doing?" she _ to me "Dance! Just dance!". So being the confident person she was, she turned on music and just started dancing as if she had no care in the world. Lori grabbed my arms, forcing them to move, once again she hollered "Dance!". Its this moment that reminds me that it is absolutely necessary to find a balance of work and fun. For my sister, her balance is five minute Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This way people can get a better understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be a different person than I am today. I have always grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up and insisted I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Descriptive Essay About My Day My day started like any other day. I woke up at around four A.M. I got out of bed and put one breakfast packet in the hydrator. I looked around my room, basically the same as the first memory of the day I woke up in this room. Except there was no calendar on the wall, I no longer had any need for it. In two months they would leave in the Queen then the number of who remained would have this planet to themselves. I heard the ringing of the hydrator and knew that my two eggs and plate of bacon were finished. I ate in a hurry, just another part of my packed schedule. The work floors, unlike the station, were always bustling with people, especially on my floor. I proceeded down the hall with yellow lights casting shadows on the floor. I walked down towards my office with my briefcase in hand, at the door I took my identification out of my pocket and scanned the door. It automatically unlocked with a grinding sound. I opened the door to find one of my superior Stellarities sitting down. Instant fear and questions flooded my mind; what did I do? Do I have to stay on earth? Did something go wrong with the Hornet? Ted Flagrant, the man sitting in my office was by guess, in his early sixties. At this point I knew two things, he was head of administration and he was in my office. • 16. Descriptive Essay On Being Alone Alone. My emotions all pertained to this word – : being neglected because I was different from others. My prickly exterior caused people to overlook me. And my friends, let's just say I didn't have any. I never had an intention to hurt anyone, but this was who I was and the reason for my loneliness. As days, months, even years passed, people ignored the true beauty in me. I was constantly left sitting alone in the cold, damp corner with no one to interact with. This was my fate. My life was basically forlorn. I was going to be alone, forever. It wasn't until a sunny, summer day when hope came in the form of hands picking me up from the dark place I was sitting. It was the first time someone examined me! This boy, my new owner, had passion gleaming from his eyes: he was waiting for this moment to pick me up and take me home. But why me? Why after all this waiting has someone finally chose me? After all, there were plenty of other plants at the store. Why a cactus? As he carried me back to his house I began to worry. What if I was ignored and placed in the corner like at the store? There was a maelstrom of conflicts and apprehensions inside me, but as we entered his home, it was empty. I was his first plant! Being the first plant in a house was a privilege, and it was unbelievable that a plant as insignificant as me was given this privilege. My owner's hospitality was endless: I was constantly fed water when thirsty, fed fertilize r when hungry, and given enough sunlight when cold to grow. It was like he could read my mind and gavegive me whatever I wanted, whenever I needed it. The feeling of loneliness was fading away, and I felt as if I finally had someone who cared about me. Rather than judging my current deamor like the rest of the customers, my owner saw my inner beauty, thus, forming an unbreakable bond between us. Being a cactus made it hard for me to fit in with other plants, yet after all the time I spent with my owner–or should I say caretaker– I felt that everything was going to be fine, that was until... My caretaker began to gain a passion for other plants, and when summer arrived there came a different plant every month ranging from trending tropical to durable desert plants. • 17. Descriptive Essay About A Hero When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and strong. She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you? On September 24th of 2017, my parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the afternoon. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved Get more content on HelpWriting.net

With my drink, I happily walked to the candy aisle that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles. My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a championship game. My eyes ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I knew she was hiding something, I knew she wasn't letting us know how she was feeling. I went to the hospital with my grandma multiple times, it was becoming a daily routine for me, but one day was special. My grandmother, dad, grandfather, and I all went to the hospital to get my grandmother checked out for once and for all. I remember sitting in the waiting room, watching as my grandfather comes out with a face of worry. I asked what was wrong. It turns out my grandmother had stage 4 colon cancer and it was bad. The cancer was so bad to the point that chemotherapy couldn't fix it. I would sit on the couch watching my grandmother lay on the red reclining chair that squeaked every time you moved, just staring at the TV. It was at this moment when reality hit me, and it hit me hard. My grandmother who was practically my mother too was extremely sick and is not going to get any better. I looked at her and everything changed in her appearance. She no longer had the full head of brown hair, but a baldish head with grey hair. • 20. A Descriptive Essay : The Man The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me in the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball is like holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into everyday. The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique, just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice speaks to me on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think we were at a comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate every time he looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He cares so much about what I want Get more content on HelpWriting.net
