This is a working portfolio that provides a glance at a small sample of the work that I completed during the Fall 2012 semester at Parsons while pursuing a Certificate in Architecture and Interior Design.

III. Hand Drafting
I surveyed and redesigned a Parsons classroom as a one bedroom
apartment. The openness between the kitchen, living room and
dining room provides a large space to entertain while
maintaining creative boundaries between areas. Bedroom and
walk-in closet are separated from the rest of the apartment to
maintain a sense of coziness in the private apartment space.
IV. Space Planning
Given the outer shell of a penthouse apartment on Central Park
West, I designed a showroom for a fashion designer with an
attached apartment with an entrance hidden from clients and
other employees of the company. The showroom design is based
on an upscale subway idea, with a grey color scheme injected
with pops of bright color and curving walls which inspire
movement and flow throughout the space. The designer’s
apartment is inspired by the four elements and the creation of
a bridge between natural materials and city style. The space
on the whole focuses on the separation of work and play, the
use of natural materials in an urban setting
and creating clean and active architectural
lines in order to direct viewers as they
experience both spaces.
