WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Any undergraduate students

                                  SECURING LIBERTY: BALANCING SECURITY AND FREEDOM

                                    HOW DO I WIN?
  Challenge & theme                 • Register for the competition at www.gdppc.org.
  announced.                        • Then prepare and submit your Policy Brief by 16 April.

                                    A maximum of 50 finalists will be invited to present and defend their policy briefs orally
                                    before top panels of judges at the Global Public Policy Forum at Central European
                                    University in June 2012. The cost of travel to Budapest and accommodation will paid by
                                    IDEA. Finalists will attend workshops to hone their public-speaking and advocacy skills
                                    as well as compete in progressive rounds to determine up to top 10 finalists to compete
                                    for the scholarship / stipend prizes by presenting their policy briefs to a global
                                    audience. The top winners will be awarded the prizes and get to choose the option they
                                    prefer. For new participants, award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500.

                                    How will the papers be evaluated? Don’t worry if you’re not a native speaker of
                                    English! Judges will use evaluation criteria to assess each student’s contribution, that
                                    will focus on the ability to develop evidence to support his / her arguments. Every
                                    participant who submits a paper will receive feedback from a qualified judge or
                                    professional.

Challenge & theme • Register for the competition at www.gdppc.org. announced. • Then prepare and submit your Policy Brief by 16 April. A maximum of 50 finalists will be invited to present and defend their policy briefs orally before top panels of judges at the Global Public Policy Forum at Central European University in June 2012. The cost of travel to Budapest and accommodation will paid by IDEA. Finalists will attend workshops to hone their public-speaking and advocacy skills as well as compete in progressive rounds to determine up to top 10 finalists to compete for the scholarship / stipend prizes by presenting their policy briefs to a global audience. The top winners will be awarded the prizes and get to choose the option they prefer. For new participants, award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500. How will the papers be evaluated? Don’t worry if you’re not a native speaker of English! Judges will use evaluation criteria to assess each student’s contribution, that will focus on the ability to develop evidence to support his / her arguments. Every participant who submits a paper will receive feedback from a qualified judge or professional.
