1. Laser Blepharoplasty
Eye bags and dark shadows correction.
Even if the presence of eye bags or dark shadows is very
discrete, it may change the facial expression and look like
tiredness or flatness. The presence of eye bags or dark circles
may be the result not only from age changes but also genetics
matters.

2. Today there is a minimally invasive procedure for this
problem offering a fully natural result, providing a “fresher”
look to the eyes without altering the eye look
which normally results from a plastic surgery.
Ultra pulsed CO2 laser is a high tech piece of equipment
used in the procedure known as blepharoplasty (eyelid
correction) which has become a replacement for scalpel.
CO2 laser is capable of evaporating away the excessive fat
excess under the eyes (eye bags).
For bags underneath the eyes, evaporating away the
excessive fat is made through a small window made with
the laser itself in the lower eyelid conjunctiva (inside) with
no need of cuts or sutures, therefore, the recovery is a
matter of a few days with a moderate swelling of the
treated area and a minimum eye irritation.

3. Dark circles sagging may be corrected during
the same blepharoplastprocedure using the fat
extracted from the eye bags to fill the sagging in
a procedure known as fat grafting. The
processed fat is injected via fine blunt cannulas
or is deposited underneath the skin, achieving a
natural looking “rise” of the sagged region.
Using one’s fat instead of a filling synthetic
material eliminates the possibility of an allergic
reaction and the same effect is obtained in
terms of duration and aesthetics.
This is an ambulatory procedure lasting less
than 30 minutes. Just a light sedation (vein) is
required. Recovery is 4 to 5 days with a minor
swelling and no stitches to remove.
