Technology Overview
 Technology developed by JNG
 Ammonia is used as the absorbent to capture SOx and CO2 in the flue gas
 SOx is converted to ammonium sulfate (AS) and CO2 to ammonium bicarbonate (ABC)
 AS and ABC are saleable fertilizers

ADSC Technology: Features
 Residual ammonia in the flue gas after decarbonization is scrubbed with desulfurization
solution, which resolves the ammonia slip issue and simplifies the process
 SO2 and CO2 in the waste stream are converted to (NH4)2SO4 and NH4HCO3 fertilizers
 Carbon capture process is simplified and CAPEX/OPEX is reduced by at least 50% compared
to the amine-based process
 By-product NH4HCO3 can be sold or decomposed to CO2 (as a product or to be sequestrated)
and ammonia (for reuse)
 Synergistic multi-pollutant control makes coal cleaner and more economical than natural gas

  • 6. 6 ADSC Technology: Features  Residual ammonia in the flue gas after decarbonization is scrubbed with desulfurization solution, which resolves the ammonia slip issue and simplifies the process  SO2 and CO2 in the waste stream are converted to (NH4)2SO4 and NH4HCO3 fertilizers  Carbon capture process is simplified and CAPEX/OPEX is reduced by at least 50% compared to the amine-based process  By-product NH4HCO3 can be sold or decomposed to CO2 (as a product or to be sequestrated) and ammonia (for reuse)  Synergistic multi-pollutant control makes coal cleaner and more economical than natural gas
