At CAS, these are the stories we hear. Each year we work with over 700 students from over 290 HS from across New York City. We can be either the last school they ever go to, or a defining moment in their life. Through the iZone we’ve taken this challenge and ran with it.
Be extending the classroom into the community, students at City-As-School will be prepared with the skills, knowledge, and experience to succeed in college and in life. Going from 400 to 700 plus internships and out of class room learning opportunities.
Ideas: tour of the waste facilities of nyc, history of nyc, attend national conferences, study languages abroad, biking advocacy, camping trips, college tours,
Life does not resemble a classroom… and as such learning should not be confined to the classroom.
