FIDY is a metadata aggregator platform composed of five primary modules: 1) DPP handles metadata uploads and orchestrates other services. 2) The Index service is a patched Apache SOLR for searching. 3) The Terminology service provides access to controlled vocabularies. 4) The SOAP service allows traditional metadata deposit. 5) The SRU service allows standards-based search via URL. An optional Vocabulary Management module helps manage controlled terminologies.
