“Sueñaletras” isa free software program from Latin America that helps children with full -or partial -hearing impairments learn to read and write through sign language, finger alphabet, lip-reading, written words, and images.

“ClassDojo” gives students a personalized avatar. Teachers then give each avatar points for good behavior in class; with the points displayed in real-time in the classroom.

7. 6-Robotic mobile accessory
for distance learning
An iPhone, iPad or any video-enabled device is placed into a robotic mobile accessory called ‘Swivl’.
The robot ‘swivels’ around to capture educators on video as they present.
A cloud-enabled app can then be use for video streaming / sharing.

Three solar panels, foldable desksand chairs, an Internet router, low-wattage netbooks and a robust tent are carried on a 4X4 vehicle so that classrooms can be set up in remote areas of Uganda.

to teach children basic literacy

This tech combines the local community-radio and telephone-based systems to give marginalized children in India basics of literacy, numeracy and hygiene.
To attract listeners, the content is based on the Indian version of Sesame Street. 1.4 million benefited from this free service to date.
