The ‘alternanthem’ Ireland, Ireland! unveiled on Tuesday, was recorded for The Irish Times by musicians Neil Hannon and Thomas Walsh in their incarnation as The Duckworth Lewis Method.

They had to promote the gym in the neighbourhood and increase the number of members. In order to reach people when they’re thinking about their weight the most (after lunch), they printed a series of exercises on the back of restaurants receipts with an accompanying message inviting them to come and “burn of their meal”.
