How to embed youtube in word
1. Embed Youtube Videos in
MSWord 2007
1. Open a blank page (Office button/New/Blank Document/OK)
2. Add the Developer button to the Ribbon: Office button/Word Options/Popular: Show
Developer tab in the Ribbon/OK
3. Add Shockwave Flash Object to the page: Developer/Controls: Design Mode/Legacy Tools:
ActiveX Controls: More Controls/Shockwave Flash Object/OK .Hot tip: you can use this as a
template and just copy/paste this object to another word page or document or into
Powerpoint to skip step 3 above. ;-)
4. A Flashobject(a box with a big X) will be added to the blank page.
5. Copy the Youtube URL or the Tubechop embed code into a Notepad/Word document
temporarily.
6. Edit the Youtube URL by replacingwatch?v= with v/
7. Select and copy the URL:
e.g.: Youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/v/xMtuVP8Mj4oHot tip: When you use this link at
youtube.com, you will have a fullscreen video.
e.g.: Tubechop /”movie value” :
http://swf.tubechop.com/tubechop.swf?vurl=xMtuVP8Mj4o&start=15.32&end=22&cid=761768
8. Modify video object properties
Developer:Design Mode: Right-click on the object (a box with a big X across)
Properties: Movie line: paste the Youtube or Tubechop URL (See Step 7 above)
Specify window width/hight for proper size: 480X360
9. Play video while the Design Mode is off. Turn the Developer:Design Mode on to edit
Properties or to move/resize/delete the video.
