The lecturer instructed students on connecting PCs to a local area network. Four PCs were connected to an access point with cables but remained disconnected. The cables were improperly arranged. Later, three of the four PCs connected wirelessly when the server was ready, but one using Windows 8 could not connect. Of 33 PCs connected one by one, only 11 joined the network due to different operating systems and versions. Eventually all PCs connected could share files with each other over the network.
