Mysteries of Student Visa refusal and
Judicial review of the Visa officer’s decision

Can you do something about your visa refusal? Yes you can! We can
review the process and the discretion which was used to refuse the visa.
I want to showcase 4 precedents where the student visa/permit was
declined and the judicial review process undertaken by the Federal Court
of Canada set aside the refusal.

  1. Onyeka v. Canada
       a. Inadequate funds
       b. No intent to return
       c. Bona fide intent

  2. Ogbonnaya v Canada
       a. No intent to return
       b. Bona fide

  3. Odewole v Canada
       a. No ties to the home country
       b. No Dual intent

  4. Zuo v Canada
       a. Immigrant intent
       b. Availability of lower cost programs in the home country
What is your story of refusal? Were you refused and do you know why?
Do you want me to appeal and try seeing if there is any possibility we
can get a judicial review of the visa officer’s decision?
