WILL YOU MAKE A GOOD INTERIM MANAGER?
Recently, IMS has received many enquiries from candidates wishing to become an Interim Manager. So we
have created a short checklist of requirements that managers should bring with them:
• Experience; you have worked at Board/Operating Board/Executive Committee level, or as a senior
line or functional specialist, senior management generalist or professional Project Manager/Programme
Director.
• Expertise; you need to be an expert in your field; with a background of progressive achievement,
demonstrating clear success, and in certain instances budgetary and people responsibility.
• Sure; Interim Management is a career choice, it is an own profession that is growing quickly and
gaining global acceptance.
• Engaging; capable of quickly establishing a rapport, building trust, able to sell yourself quickly and
confidently as the selection process for interim positions is much shorter and more focused than the
standard recruitment process.
• Urgency; do you have the skills to quickly assess what’s going on in a totally new environment? You
need to be able to analyse, develop solutions, influence and then deliver on time and within budget.
• Adaptable; happy with change, ambiguity and comfortable moving from one organisation culture to
another.
Do you fill all of the criteria stated above? If so, feel free to get in touch with a member of our IMS team.

IMS GOES LIVE!
We are proud to announce that IMS has a new website! After sharing our website with our parent company, J.M
Gemini, we have developed our own website. The website was launched on the 20th July and has since been a
hit, with over 3000 visitors in 4 weeks.
In efforts to establish a more personal dialogue with the Interim Management community, IMS has launched the
IMS Forum portion of the website, with updated information and articles on the Interim Management market,
with the ability for website users to comment.
This marks one of the first forums/blogs authored by an Interim Management provider in Greater China. There
are several areas of the website dedicated entirely to both candidates and clients.
IMS’ homepage IMS’ clients page
Since the website went live mid July, we have seen visitors from all over the world; with the majority of visitors
coming from Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region. However, we are receiving more and more enquiries and
visitors from the US and Europe. The IMS website focuses on the Asia-Pacific region and has the contact details
of all our offices.
Talking about the website, Christopher Hodgson, Business Development Manager at IMS, commented: ‘We are
delighted with the new website. It represents our specialist approach to recruitment and reflects our long-term
strategic plan to become an international leading interim management consultancy operating in many different
industries. As well as aligning the design of the site with our fresh new branding, we wanted to update the con-
tent and functionality of the website to fulfill expectations from both candidates and clients.’
The IMS website is expected to be a valued resource for both clients and interim managers. In addition to an
updated list of client testimonials, there will be in-depth discussions on Interim Management, currently available
interim assignments, and information on Asia’s leading Interim Management provider.
Dying to tell us ways of improving it?
We want our new IMS website to be everything you want it to be and so would love to know your thoughts. You
can be as honest as you like, so please email any (constructive) comments to ims@jmgemini.com
