China plays a leading role in increasing global forest area. It has over 2 billion mu of forest, accounting for 21.6% of land area. Chinese forests store over 8.4 billion tons of carbon dioxide. China aims to increase forest area and carbon storage to reduce emissions. Forestry projects generate carbon credits that can be traded in carbon markets, providing income for farmers and opportunities to offset emissions. This supports China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.

1. The Contribution of Chinese Forestry in Global
Carbon Emission Reduction
中国林业对全球碳减排的贡献
China takes the leading role in forest area growth all over the
world! Forest area 0.21 billion ha, coverage 21.6%, stocking
volume 15.1 billion m3, plantation 69 million ha, total carbon
storage 8.4 billion tons of CO2-e. There are more than 40 millions
ha barren mountain and more than 60% young forests need to be
tended in China. GHG inventory: carbon sequestrations 0.4 billions,
account for 5-7% of total emissions.
中国是全球森林面积增加最快的国家: 森林面积2.08亿公顷，森林覆盖率21.63%，森林蓄
积151 . 37亿立方米，人工林面积0.69亿公顷，森林植被总碳储量84.27亿吨。
现有3957万公顷宜林荒山荒地造林—增汇；现有林60%以上是中幼龄林亟待抚育—增汇；
国家温室气体清单：森林碳汇 4.21亿吨，占当年温室气体排放总量的5%--7%。

2. Forestry, one of China’s Emission Reduction Target
林业措施成为中国自主减排目标之一
By 2020, The CO2 emissions per unit of GDP will be reduced by
40% - 45% from the 2005 level; By 2020, Endeavor to increase the
ratio of non-fossil fuels in primary energy consumption to around
15%; Increase forest area by 40 million ha and the forest stock
volume by 1.3 billion m3 by 2020 from the 2005 levels.
(1) 到2020年单位国内生产总值二氧化碳排放比2005年下降40％－45％;
(2) 2020年非化石能源占一次能源消费的比重达到15％左右；
(3) 通过植树造林和加强森林管理，森林面积比2005年增加4000万公顷，森林蓄积
量比2005年增加13亿立方米。

3. Forestry,one of the goals of China‘s independent contribution
林业措施成为中国国家自主贡献目标之一
（1） CO2 emissions peaks by 2030, and achieve this goal ASAP;
（2） CO2 emissions per GDP will be reduced by 60% - 65% by the
level of 2005;
（3）Non-fossil fuels/Primary Energy Consumption ≈20%;
（4）Forest stock volume increase 4.5 billion m3 at the level of 2005;
Planning program for 13th Five-Year Forest volume increased from 15 billion 100
million M3 in 2010 to 16 billion 500 million M3 , an annual increase of 14%.
（1）CO2排放2030年前后达到峰值并尽早达峰；
(2)单位GDP CO2 排放比2005年下降60%－65%;
(3)非化石能源占一次能源消费比重达到20%左右；
(4) 森林蓄积量比2005年增加45亿立方米左右。
十三五规划纲要目标：森林蓄积量从2010年的151亿米3增加到165 亿米3，年均增长
14%。

million 259 thousand tons, the first issue was 872

thousand tons were traded on that day.

improved FM project for carbon credit
恢复热带雨VCS—西双版纳改进森林经营碳汇项目
The projects in the three counties of XSBN, 0.67 ha of farmland and natural
forests in that Prefecture. It is estimated that the 20 year reduction will be
about 1 million 750 thousand tons, and the first stage reduction CO2 will be
about 336 thousand tons. The project is registered and issued for VCS. The
project has significant protection diversity, improving the ecological and
livelihood benefits.
项目严格保护该州三个县10万亩农地天然林。预估20年减排量约175万吨。
第1期减排量约33.6万吨 。项目具显著保护多样性，改善生态和民生等多重效
