Before the procudure is carried out in the
patients mouth a prelimenary evaluation on
the articulator is completed.

1.Evaluation of trial denture base
Check extensions.
Check retention- resistance to forces acting
against path of insertion.
Stability- denture should be steady, firm,
constant in relation to denture bearing areas.
Support- should withstand forces acting along
the path of insertion.

Incisal third of teeth should be visible at rest (low
