programmes are offered to children at orphanages and community
centres during the weekends.

• A petition initiated by Bhumi on change.org to rationalise auto fares
in Chennai
• Initiated in 4 Jul, 2012
• Reached 15,000 by 26 Jun, 2013
• Successfully gathered 16,632 supporters in all
• RESULT: After a year long campaign, the Tamil Nadu Government
revised the fares of auto rickshaws in Chennai on 25 Aug, 2013. A
complaint number has also been set up to report errant auto drivers.
