Day 1/27 Dec 2016: Hanoi arrival (D)
Upon arrival in Hanoi City, our guide will meet you at the airport and take you to a hotel in the city
center for check-in.
Tonight, you will enjoy a welcome dinner Cau Go Restaurant with romantic view of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 2/28 Dec 2017: Hanoi – City tour and street food (B/L/D)
You are picked at the hotel for a guided full day tour of Hanoi, visiting the major sights, including the
Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and paying a homage to Vietnam's most famous revolutionary,
Ho Chi Minh. After lunch, we visit Ethnology Museum, the miniature of Vietnam with 54 ethnic groups.
Here carry out scientific research, collection, documentation, conservation, exhibition and preserving
the cultural and historic patrimony of the nation’s ethnic groups. The museum also serves to guide
research, conservation, and technology that are specific to the work of an ethnographic museum. Back
to the old quater where we keep walking to visit bustling streets into the atmospheric heart of the Old
Quarter, we wander past street stalls and quiet residential lanes where you can observe local life that
has changed little since and enjoy local street food.

Day 3/29 Dec 2016: Hanoi – Sapa (B/L)
Located at 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha mountain town is well-known by travelers with the most colorful
market of the hill tribes in the North of Vietnam. This every-Sunday-market attended by at least 8
ethnic groups and last from 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM. It is also chance for tourists to discover the H’mong
King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese).
You are picked up at the the hotel. Transfer to Sapa. Arrive Sapa at noon time, lunch and start a walk
down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax at
the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed
by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes
before climbing up on the way bus to return to Sapa

Day 4/30 Dec 2016: Sapa – Lao Chai - Ta Van – Sapa (B/L)
Pickup at the hotel in the morning. Take drive of 6km of down to the south east of Sapa along the side
of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. Continue a 2km-trekking down to Lao
Chai village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the Dzay minority people. Lunch at a local
family, it gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of
their daily life styles and exclusive custom. Enjoy the landscapes…on the way. Last trek is about 2Km to
the bus stop in Tavan then get back to Sapa by jeep or minivan.

Day 5/31 Dec: Sapa – Can Cau Market (B/L)
It takes more than 2.5 hours to get to CanCau - a small market situated in a valley surrounded by
mountains and only 7 km from China. The market deeply shows the typical cultural features of the
minorities in remote mountainous areas in Vietnam. Further more, you can enjoy seeing boys and girls
in colourful costumes - different colours of the mountains. They attend the market in the hope of
finding "the other halves of their lives" and this is also the time for them to chat, to exchange
everything among different ethnic people through cups of wine sold in the market. Say goodbye to the
market and transfer to BacHa. On the way, spend time visiting a village of the Flower H'mong and then
the H'mong King's house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920.
In the afternoon, we drive back to Hanoi.

09.00: Check out the cabins, at your leisure while our cruise taking you pass by other beautiful

10.00: You will join with our short class of Cooking demonstration, how to make spring rolls before an
early lunch is served.

Day 8/3 Jan 2017: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Hue (B/L)
Depart for Ninh Binh Province (90km south of Hanoi). Have a break 20 minutes en-route to free your
legs.
Arrive at Hoa Lu, which is once depicted the ancient capital of Viet Nam, settled up in the 10th century.
Visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with a very unique architectures in the old time.
12:30: Have lunch in a restaurant
14:00 Visit Trang An ecological tourist site with a boat trip through cave chains: Sang cave, Toi cave.
Transfer to small hotel for shower and free till transfer to the station for overnight train to Hue.

Day 9/4 Jan 2017: Hue – City tour (…)
Your guide and car pick you up at the station upon arrival. Enjoy full day tour visiting the Hue city.
Explore tomb of Kai Dinh and Thien Mu Pagoda, before taking in the impressive Citadel. Visit the Flag
Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns and the Nine Holy Can-nons, finally stopping off at Thai Hoa
Palace - The emperor’s coronation hall and the surrounding ruins of the Forbidden Purple City.

Day 10/5 Jan 2017: Hue – Hoian (B)
Free in the morning.
In the afternoon, we travel by private vehicle from Hue to Da Nang - Journey south along Hai Van Pass.
Stop en route for photos. We will also stop at Marble Mountain and Lang Co Beach.
Arrive Hoian in the late afternoon. Free for personal activities.

Day 11/6 Jan 2017: Hoian – My Son Towers – Hoian City (B)
08.30 In the morning, we drive to visit My Son. The My Son temple complex is regarded one of the
foremost Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in
Vietnam. It is often compared with other historical temple complexes in Southeast Asia, such as

Borobodur of Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, Bagan of Myanmar and Ayutthaya of
Thailand. Although badly damaged by bombing raids in the 1960s, the site still has more than 20
structures and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
Back to Hoian, enjoy walking tour to see a historic house, the Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese
assembly hall. Then free time to make the most of delightful Hoi An and its surrounding areas. The
market is a good place to buy silk that can be made up into fine garments, all within a day. Close to
town is the Cua Dai beach, which can be reached easily by bicycle, is an ideal place to swim and relax.

Day 15/10 Jan 2017: Nha Trang – Dalat (B)
Free till pickup for transfer by private car to the Dalat. Upon arrival, visit the cazy house.

Day 16/11 Jan 2017: Dalat country adventure loop (B/L)
We pick you up at your hotel about 08:30 am and show you the highlights of Dalat City such as the
Crazy House and Dragon Pagoda. We then ride to the countryside where you can enjoy the scenic view
of the terrace fields and broaden your knowledge of how the locals make a living on their farms
producing vegetables, flowers, coffee, mushrooms.
You then might want to trek to the summit of the mountain where you have some great shots of the
panoramic view of the area. Enjoy the ride through winding mountain roads and then stop meet a
family where you learn how they make traditional rice wine and try it yourself!
We continue our day by visiting a Silkworm Factory where you can experience how the locals process
silks from cocoons and the stunning Elephant Waterfall. We stop at a local restaurant for lunch and
enjoy different kinds of Vietnamse delicious dishes. We then continue to ride to Chicken Village and
learn about special culture of K'Ho ethnic minorities.
On the way back to Dalat, we visit the beautiful and peaceful Truc Lam Meditation Monastery and
Paradise Lake. The tour concludes back at your hotel around 5 pm.

Day 17/12 Jan 2017: Dalat - Saigon (B)
Free till transfer to the airport for flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, enjoy half day tour to visit the
Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral. You will also admire the many
beautiful French colonial buildings such as the main post office and the former Hotel de Ville (city hall).
If time permits, we will also visit the bustling Ben Thanh Market.

Day 18/13 Jan 2017: Saigon – Cu Chi half day (B)
Pickup at the hotel. We proceed to Chu Chi Tunnels to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid
during the War. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - the network of over
200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the
tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living
areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. There is plenty
of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Chu Chi Tunnels was a

"Free Target Zone". Visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were
constructed before entering the tunnels. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy
tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food in war time). Return to SaiGon.

Day 19/14 Jan 2017: Saigon – Mekong – Can Tho (B/L/D)
Pickup at the hotel in Saigon to Can Tho or Cai Be. You board your comfortable wooden Mekong Eyes
cruise vessel around noon. After a refreshing welcome drink we show you our on-board facilities and
your cosy cabin. As lunch is served, the Mekong Eyes Cruise starts cruising. Sit back and watch the
fantastic scenery and the daily life of the Mekong people.
In the afternoon you can disembark for a guided leisurely stroll through a village and the surrounding
fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the friendly locals and taste the local produce and fruits.
Get back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the magnificent
water landscape of the Mekong river. The Mekong Eyes Cruise will anchor for the night. The day ends
with a delicious on-board dinner. You stay overnight on board your floating hotel in the Mekong Delta.

Day 20/15 Jan 2017: Can Tho – Saigon (B)
Wake up well rested to the sound of the river and get ready for another exciting day of sightseeing in
the Mekong Delta. At 6.30h the Mekong Eyes cruise vessel sets off for a sunrise cruise. Watch the locals
go about their daily work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards while enjoying an
early breakfast.
After breakfast, we will board a sampan boat to Cai Be or Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest
and most lively markets. Marvel at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits, vegetables and skilfully
handcrafted regional products. We will pull up to the boats for talking and bargaining with the
merchants. We will also visit some of the local candy and cake making factories or boat through the
green water landscape to see local houses, verdant orchards and ship-building yards.

Note*: The floating markets in the Mekong Delta are no tourist markets but wholesale markets where
produce of the Mekong Delta like fruits and vegetables are traded. For this reason the number of boats
on the market fluctuates depending on harvesting seasons and market demand. Furthermore, modern
wholesale markets are becoming more popular in Vietnam. This can result in decreasing numbers of
boats being present on the markets.

GENERAL BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKING PROCEDURE
• Indochina Treks Travel required deposit of at least 30% of total tour cost to guarantee the
booking. This ammount can be paid by credit card (through a secured payment system), bank
transfer, Western Union or Paypal.
• Remainder of total tour cost must be paid in cash upon arrival or 2 weeks before departure date
if by any other payment methods.
• Transfer fee, if any, must be paid at customer’s end. Indochina Treks Travel will recognize the
ammount received only.
CANCELLATION
At Indochina Treks Travel Co.,Ltd, we do our best to minimize cancellation penalty for our guests but
we must abide the cancellation policy of each service provider. Any cancellations should be made in
writing.
Cancellation by the customers
Where the Customer cancels the tour, then the effective date of cancellation will be the date the
company receives the written notification. The cancellation charge to the customer is listed below:
• More than 30 days before departure :deposit if forfeited
• Between 15 and 29 days before departure :50 % of total tour cost
• Between 7 days and 14 days before departure :70 % of total tour cost
• Between 2 days and 6 days before departure :85 % of total tour cost
• 1 day or less :100 % of total tour cost
• Flight tickets are fixed following the final itinerary, 100% charge for airfare for any cancellation.
Cancellation by Indochina Treks Travel
If tour is not paid by the due date, the company shal have the right to cancel the tour. If we, at the
request of the customer, agrees to delay cancellation of the tour then the company still cancells the
tour for the customer’s non-payment, the cancellation charges set out shall apply and be payable by
the customer.
Special conditions
Indochina Treks Travel reserves the right to change these cancellation conditions depending on airlines,
hotels and cruises’ cancellation policies. We will inform you in writing in case the above conditions need
to be modified.

for participants or refund the difference in payment for service rendered below standard.
The detailed program and schedule flights are subject to change by airline without prior notice and in
