2. 2 First meeting at
IDBike GmbH
(Stuttgart) to
draft the HR3
3. 3
…and this is
how the HR3
should look
like!....
#vamos!!
4. 4 Defining both
shape and
capacity of the
battery pack. We
work for that
with Panasonic
18650 cylindrical
cells
(up there is a
Macbook Air)
5. 5 First TZ´ internal
team meeting:
frame geometry,
swing-arm shape
and battery
positioning were
fixed on that
time!
6. 6 3d shaping
the HR3. It
looks
promising,
doesn't it?
7. 7 Wheels, suspension
s, and first fairings
were added to the
assembly... Style
must be improved
though!!!
8. 8 ...and here is it:
design almost
ready by Juli 31st.
Some details still
unclear, but
project timing
was under control
!!
9. 9 What about if I tell
you… that these
profiles are going
to be an
impressive swing
arm? It is hard to
believe, isn't it?
We and Dmotor
will show you how
we did!
10. Here we show you
10 the swing arm rear
ends. We decided
to machine them
from an aluminum
block instead of
forging them....
decision was
clear, since we are
prototyping to
deadline!
It looks
awesome, doesn't
it!
11. 11 Here it is: first
aluminum
swing-arm
coming out
from our HR3
welding
tooling! Great
job! Now we
need two units
more!!
12. 12 First frame being
welded.
This welding tooling
enables us to get high
dimension
accuracy, not only for
prototypes, but for later
batches too.
13. 13 On the meantime, our
colleagues at Materialise
(Belgium) started
shipping out first rapid
prototyping parts! Here
come the (3) saddle
bases, delivered directly
to our saddle supplier
Manufacturas GES in
Ermua (Spain)!
The dark one has being
made in TUSK tech,
since it was intended to
be assembled into a
functional prototype
unit.
14. 14 There it comes!
We introduce you
our portable
battery pack....
Key features
include: portable,
20Ah, 48V,
7,5kg...
15. 15 Fairings have
just arrived, with
a perfect fit!
Let's fix them to
the frame, ... it
might be tricky,
we know it!
16. 16 Saddles have just
arrived while we
were getting the
frames ready.
Thanks
manufacturas GES
for your great job
and JIT delivery!
17. 17 Last weld spots
and sparks to
have it done!
HR3 is almost
ready!
18. 18 This is ready!,
now it is time to
dismount all parts
and send them
back for painting!
It is the time for
MotoDisseny to
deliver!
19. 19 Metal parts
are back from
painting!
We can start
the final
assembly!
20. 20 HR3 arrives in
Stuttgart!, where
colour and trim
will be performed
by ELMOTO. At
that standpoint
we started
imagine how a
"sport" version
should look
like!.... HR3s!
21. 21 The HR3 was
first unveiled in
Intermot 2013.
Its saddle
opening lever
was a great
surprise! It
makes sense
when changing
your portable
batteries!
22. 22 Have you ever
seen a nicer
dashboard?, W
hat a good job
from our
ELMOTO
colleagues.
This HR3 really
deserves it!
23. 23 Have you ever
seen a nicer
dashboard?, W
hat a good job
from our
ELMOTO
colleagues.
This HR3 really
deserves it!
24. 24 After Intermot our
client asked us
how a “sporty
version” of the
HR3 should look
like! Well, i reckon
this was not
difficult to
"dream"!
Only one remark:
we had just 30
days to do it!
25. Handcraft
25
assembling
a rear 17"
motorcycle
rim
(from MORAD)
with a HR3
in-hub
motor
26. You see here our USD
26 Paioli fork,& OLLE
shock absorber. Once
we got them from our
suppliers it was a kids
game to install them
on our frame.
Steering column
diameter was the only
difference between
HR3 & HR3s
frames, due to the
wider bearings on the
later one!
27. …and here comes a
27 nice rear shock
absorber with piggy
back from OLLE!
ELMOTO was
undoubtedly
surprised with this
gadget! ... and what
about you?
Send us your
comments anytime to
@TraZeless We'll be
28. Headlight ready!
28
I tell you a secret:
our partner VOLTA
shared with us this
headlight unit!
..and it really suits
our HR3s!
TZanks Marc B. for
that!
29. Rapid prototyping parts
29
again from
Materialise, painting
from MotoDisseny, and
decals from Z&R
TZ handled these
ingredients with special
detail care,
...how else!!
30. 29. "...The job
30
is done!
Hurry up, take
it out, take
some quick
pictures
before the
transport
arrives!...”.
