Users follow one another
People’s blogs appear on the
dashboard
On the dashboard you can like
and reblog posts
In the options you have the option
to allow people to ask questions
You can tag any post so that
people can find it
You have the option to let other
users submit content to your blog

On tumblr. you have the option to
password protect your blog.
You can make specific posts private.
Your primary blog cannot be made
private.
You can’t follow people on your
secondary blog.
You can ignore (also known as block)
people which may cause you grief and
report users to the tumblr. support
team.

This is popular on tumblr. and amongst tumblr. users.
tumblr. is fine with people providing each other with support but not the glorification.
Recently tumblr. has decided to ban blogs promoting self-harm, including anorexia, bulimia, selfmutilation and suicide.

Porn videos are not allowed to be uploaded to tumblr. however tumblr. does allow
users to embed videos from external websites.
Blogs containing adult content should be marked NSFW (not safe for work) in settings.
tumblr. does not tolerate child pornography.
Around 2012 an adult entertainment company sued tumblr. for $5million for 'Widespread
And Uncontrolled‘ use of there images.
