Ivan Erchak, an animal tracking and wilderness survival specialist, began accumulating experiences at a very early age while immersed in nature at his family's camp in northern Minnesota. After traveling throughout the world he gained academic expertise while studying at The University of New Mexico. Studying a variety of topics, such as Spanish, Navajo, sedimentology, ecosystem ecology, geomorphology, and mineralogy, Erchak was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Planetary Sciences. Additionally, Ivan Erchak studied anthropology, psychology, Arabic, Hindi and more at Skidmore College, where his father taught cultural anthropology.
