  1. Summary of what we will be discussing today.
  2. As the new player in the league of toothpaste, AllSmile had very little experience. In order to compete as a market leader, AllSmile did its research and scouted out the competition. It recognized potential markets to take first mover advantages and looked for opportunities to grow quickly. AllSmile decided to enter Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela in the first period, then Chile and Peru in period 2. AllSmile needed to build up its muscles with a product plant in Brazil before entering all markets. It was also beneficial to practice and learn from experienced players this way. AllSmile would call time outs during practices and throughout the game to discuss strategy and how to take down the competition.
