  • Hello, my name is Jackie Smith and this is Christien Crynes. We would like to thank you this evening for allowing us the opportunity to present our social action project, the Oklahoma Assault Basketball Program. During our presentation we will discuss the current social problems affecting high school student-athletes in low socioeconomic settings, address the problem with our superior game plan, and share where we are, where we will be, and how YOU can help us get there. To begin Christien will start us off the social problem before us.
  • “together”
  • Christien has now presented the losing game before us. This is something we can change. And Oklahoma Assault Basketball Program’s mission is to do just that. The mission of the OK Assault Basketball Program is to help high school student-athletes recognize their college potential and provide the game plan to empower and prepare these student-athletes for a successful college career both academically and athletically.
  • Our mission targets students like Terrance. They are high school sophomores and juniors. These are the years students begin interacting with the NCAA and prepare full on for ACT/SAT exams, necessary for applying to college. These students have a desire for secondary education but are limited buy their socioeconomic status, and may not realize that they have the potential to move forward. In fact, most of these kids will continue in the poverty cycle, until now!The Oklahoma Assault Basketball Program, with its mission at top of mind, has developed a winning strategy!
