This document discusses using Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems to inform Business Intelligence (BI) through semantic analysis of documents. It presents Xeproc, an Eclipse-based framework that traces document paths and uses computable metadata formats and semantic annotations to link ECM documents to BI data. Xeproc provides monitoring of document processing based on validations and visualizations. It is extensible and designed for monitoring when engines are plugged into the designer.
